A little bit outlandish, but this was the WBF, where Vince McMahon wanted it to be a show, like he did with his wrestling contracts.  The WBF lasted 18 months.  I did find it a bit interesting that the photographs were taking pics from the side of the stage, instead of the front?

Here is a history of the WBF - in which this clip was from the first contest.

Aaron did not want to do the Dark Angel thing. He wanted to do Batman but the WBF warned him not to (lawsuit ?)

what stands out about the first WBF show was that several bb's acheived their career best physiques at the show:

Gary Strydom
Jim Quinn
Eddie Robinson
Vince Comeford

were all at their career bests and I don't think any of them ever topped the physiques they displayed that night.

The IFBB never forgave him for jumping ship and when he returned, they placed him so low it was fucking criminal!

"This guy's doing it."  ::)

"He's exploiting his martial arts background." (*Aaron does some beyond-ghey side kicks*)

Baker built one of the greatest physiques, ever, but he doesn't appear his best here. Also, the man always suffered from being too black. It hid his muscularity.

I recall seeing the guy outside our hotel in New York, alone, the morning after an IFBB event in which he competed. He was buying a muffin from a street merchant and looked so dejected and lonely. Depressing.

I get the deal with the WBF, but I always hated it. Pure dumb.
