To tell you the absolute truth, if someone killed my daughters I would not want them to go jail.  I would do everything in my power to torture the f**k out of them and make them die the most horrible and painful death possible.  I wouldn't give a f**k about getting caught or going to prison for doing it.

AGREED!!!  There has to be some end to this Y2k politically correct bullshit that will bring back TRUE punishment.  And just think...what are these people thinking saying that "punishment" should be regulated?!?!  Go to a country that Canes people and see what their crime rate is.  Or go to Japan and see how many Yakuza members lost fingers for lying!  NOT MANY!!!

Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.  End of story...

All I would need would be one day to torture the guy....then sned him back to jail and pay the Latin Kings to make his life a living hell

remember the movie Boogie Nights with mark Wahlberg...the old guy in it (NOT burt reynolds) but the one they called the Colonel...he was caught on child molestation/child porn charges and sent to prison.  He was in the cell of this big black dude getting the shit kicked out of him cryin' like the little punk he was.

Prison has a way of bringing out the truth about people....prison, not Club Med/Summer Camp Jails.

If you're strong, you'll survive and be respected...... if you're a punk you'll be somebody's bitch within a week

There aren't to many saints going to the grocery store getting framed.  It's always jackasses that are hanging out with the wrong crowd to begin with that get nailed for their "buddy's" actions.  If you don't expose yourself, no worries!
Hang out with looser dope dealers and see where that gets you!  Karma!  :'(
Live a normal life with moral human beings and see what happens!  ;D
By the way, everyone in the joint is "framed"!  Framed right up in that poor ole' cell where they belong like caged animals!  :-X
Don't get me started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the case of Craig admitting damn near everything but the acutal act, why waist our tax money on his ass?  Eye for an eye baby!
We should buy an island and let all these "tough guys" go hang out and play cave man days as we watch with our popcorn with the heat/airconditioning running in our 5,000sq ft home with the Benzo in the garage, the Plasma playing and the wife bringing over fresh cold beers to us normal citizens while they hash it out on their own and explain to each other that they were "framed"!!!

Wow hope you aren't saying Titus was framed.  Cause if that was what happened the guy who did is absolutely the best at what he does in history.

Not at all.  Titus is obviously at the bottom of this - although we may well find that Kelly actually killed Melissa, it's rather doubtful that Craig has had a complete lack of culpability beyond the disposal of the body.  He's a self-centered, meth-fueled egomaniac who's gone too far.  He'll pay.

I was responding to bigbalddaddy's philosophy about maiming the convicted.

People are entitled to whatever emotions they want. As a victim, or family member of a victim, anyone is entitled to feel hatred.

Society however should only look into what is most cost efficient, how the society could make the least losses.

If society will get more profit from keeping prisoners locked up for long time, then that should be the general policy.

If on the other hand, it is shown that society gets more profit (paid taxes, increased spending, et al) from having shorter sentencing and "Summer Camp Jail" style jails, then that's how the prison policy should be.

It should only be what is best for the society. Never what our emotions tells us.

A person who is sent to prison for life, will never be able to contribute to the working force of his/hers country. Economically, a disaster for any nation.

Why don't they send guys who are in prison for life and on death row to Iraq or somewhere where they are fighting.  Give them a gun and let them go kick some ass.  Or even use them to test bullet proof vests or hand grenades

It's true, they could send some of these guys over to Iraq and Afganistan in place of good people. Tookie Williams for one could have gone. Some of those guys with nothing to lose would be nuts-exactly what's needed to deal with maniacs over there. They could put a remote controlled bomb on each of them that would go off if they tried to desert. As in Russia, the worst cases could be used to clear minefields.

Interesting statement by Craig, that obviously he would have dug a hole and thrown the victim in if he thought he was guilty, that to just set the car on fire was just too dumb to do if he was guilty.. ???

But the bodybuilding world will miss him, so he won't get the death penalty.

I won't miss him.....if he is guilty then he deserves the same as anyone else.

Titus will get probation and 100 hours community service, 'cause he's a bodybuilder. I feel sorry for him, 100 hours is gonna suck balls!

I don't know.I think the general public views bodybuilders  more negatively than they do athletes in  any other sport/whatever the hell  bodybuilding is.....sport/ pagent.???
I think people who don't know will AUTOMATICLY think steroid rage or some bull shit like that.I personally think he is guilty...but who knows. It would be sad to think that anyone would get different punishment than you or I just because they are well known.( however well known they really are)..of coarse we all know this goes on all the time...but it isn't right.

In todays Las Vegas Review Journal (the local main paper) there is an article regarding a man who robbed a cab driver and doused him in gas & set him on fire. The cab driver died. The man was convicted of murder, arson, robbery & kidnapping. The jury gave him life in prison... not the death penalty.

I am trying post the link. If someone with better computer skills than me can post the link, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

using my pitiful linkage, click Saturday & scroll down to "Cab Driver Killer" article, Sorry.
Thanks for this intriguing nugget of data.  (Please don't stop!)  I assume premeditation wasn't prooven here, and this was a "stranger-to-stranger" killing that took place following a robbery.  Well, there's more room for premeditation in Melissa's case.  MUCH more.  Esp. if a motive for murder is actually established
and it's like...well, like loan fraud.  Remember when bodybuilding coach Gordon Kimbrough was convicted of 1st degree murder in the almost-with-his-own-hands murder of aerobics instructor/fitness model Kristy Ramsey in San Francisco a few years back?  It was clearly commited in the heat of passion (she had called off their wedding and told him she'd just spent the weekend with another man, etc., and tested positive for cocaine and diet pills).  My point: The jury pool is like a box of chocolates...you NEVER know what you're going to get.
