You can reduce the fat content by 50% by rinsing it with 150-160 degree water. ;)

Buy your own steaks and ask the butcher to ground them. Most will. Never buy the preground shit.
-
You can ask the butcher if he grinds it there or if it arrives pre-ground. He might even tell you the truth.
-
i nearly always choose the meat and have it grounded.
i always choose very lean beef and i don't bother to wash it out. some saturated fatty acids are good for the hormonal system.

If you have a Kitchen-Aid, they sell a meat grinder for it. Otherwise you could probably find a stand-alone grinder somewhere.

I am also a very big fan of mince.
I really do believe in red meat for muscle.

Who the heck has time anymore to go to a damn butcher???

Wel considering Squads post count and the fact he is on here 24/7.... I believe he would have time to ANYTHING ;D

ground beef...i love that shit inbetween 2 peices of bread with onions, mushrooms, swiss cheese, avacado, tomato and lettuce...and wedges on the side
-
For the same price, I can buy two large cuts of meat that don't cut down to half their original size like ground beef does. Unless you're getting it for say .99lb or close to it, it's not worth it IMHO.

I do, every 2 weeks. Have to feed the dogs. ;D
and get some chicken breasts for me too of course.

Ground venison is good too if you mix half venison w/ half ground beef. More protein and a lot less fat.
