P.S. I didn’t see the video. However, the shoot-at-the-legs/whatever thing is absolute idiocy.
Generally, bladed weapons pose a MUCH greater threat to law enforcement than do firearms. To effectively engage, with a gun, a hostile perp with a knife, over 20-25 feet is usually the required “time”.
Center of mass. Stop the threat. Period.
They train the cops to do so because they have no time to train them well. What's the training period of cops? 6 months? Just look at that video of the woman stabbing a cop and how they mishandled her since the beginning.
Just a serie of mistakes starting by the cop knocking on the door and standing right beside it.
They shot her in the center of mass and she was crawling with the knife so far from her but the cowards couldn't get close to her and kept screaming gibberish instead.
You all talk about how hard is to aim for the legs but with the right training that shit is easy. Look at how these guys shoot really fast moving objects that are 10 times smaller than the legs. I know cops aren't gonna be like these olympic champions but at least get them enough training to avoid killing psychotic people.
