OK my GetBig brethren...
Here's the deal, I never actually like being super lean like I get for shows, and y'all know I fucking hate dieting. But I'm starting to think its possibly time. Its been a while since I've competed, my love handles are getting out of control....
So now I'm thinking, maybe I should consider, after the end of the year I diet down for 3-4 months or so, I'm 236 now at about 22% bf, I would like to get down to 200 or even 190....
I would like to do this and possibly get some pictures taken or do a photoshoot or something..... not really interested in competing as I have a ton going on in my life, but I'm not totally closed off to the idea either... would kinda have to decide when I get down in weight and see how things are then.
But the problem is, I eat a whole large pizza every Sunday, but I have never ever ever been disciplined enough to diet just for the sake of dieting, so it would really be a challenge for me.
If I do this, I would like to put this up on getbig, progress pictures, nutrition journal, possibly training journal that sort of thing.... I won't be taking anything that's not sold over the counter (so nothing illegal) but I wouldn't be opposed to pro-hormones if there are decent legal otc ones in the market.
So my questions to you getbig are:
1. Should I even fucking bother with this shit?
2. Would you guys be interested in following my progress in this without calling me an attention whore? Lol
Oh and the reason I picked after the end of this year is because I have a bunch of travel during Christmas, and I want to still watch the remaining Redskins games as I stuff my face with large pizzas! (We will have a big problem if they make it to the playoffs though lol!)
So what say you Get Big?
Fixed. Cut the BS, ACH, and see the bold.
OK my GetBig brethren...i would follow, and just for health reasons it would be wise to be a little leaner to avoid high blood pressure, diabetes, strain on the heart etc. you dont have to be contest lean but losing a few pounds and doing cardio is always good and the older you get the more diet and exercise plays a factor in your overall well being....

Cut out beer and pizza and that alone will drop a quick 10-15 lbs off you.
As you get older it's harder to drop weight than when in your 20's.
Does your wife like you fat mess?
I don't drink, so I'm good there.
My wife thinks I would look better dropping a few pounds, she likes me most at around 220
In before this turns into a "calorie is a calorie" debate.Thats all it really boils down to.
Thats all it really boils down to.
236 is a good weight. You're just a flapjack stack shy of 240!
Did 240 ever make 240?- or Bust?
Did 240 ever make 240?- or Bust?405 X 20 is good in anyone's book. Option d?

If that is a recent pic someone posted earlier in this thread then there is no doubt whatsoever that you should diet asap. You are a fat, unhealthy pig. Just do it ACH, everyone here would like to see you alive still in 5 years time 8)
No that pic is from 2006.
I've posted a very recent pic on another thread of me in a towel. Not quite as fat... but no where near lean.
Don't you feel lethargic carrying around the extra fat and sweat up a storm when at work wearing a suit etc etc?
So now I'm thinking, maybe I should consider, after the end of the year I diet down for 3-4 months or so, I'm 236 now at about 22% bf,
Why do you even get that fat in the first place? I mean, 22 % bf wtf, I couldn't even get that fat if I wanted.
Do you stop lifting completely as well? How can a guy who lifts on a regular basis get to 22 % bf?

oh and yeah, there shouldn't even be a "debate"
fat ppl always keep telling themselves its not too bad yet balbla, all the while ballooning up into an unrecognizable self
me too, the only ppl i ever seen getting that fat never work out and eat a throughoutly shit diet, over years and years.Genetics my friend.
i once stopped training for couple years and ate lots and lots of terrible foods all the time and i got nowhere near as fat.
i dont know, i seen typical ectomorphs turn fatso over time.Lol I hear you. And I agree with the activity level statement too. I've accepted the fact that I must to cardio at least 3x's a week, and eat moderate to low carbs daily to maintain somewhat health bf levels. And if I don't do cardio, I gain fat with the quickness...and its not pretty either.
i think general activity levels have more to do with it.
but this ach guy developped a second backside on top of the original one,lol
Arms look good but you're pretty fat bro.
No doubt, this is why I'm debating dieting!
But if you saw me in the streets, you would really go, "Hey, there goes a fat ass"?

the goatee makes you look for spic than anything.
I get that often ;D
You should try to look like a bodybuilder bro.
That's the whole point of this thread lolI go through the same mental battles as well my man.
That's the thing that worries me, whenever I diet down I look kinda puny, just lean and in shape, where as when I fatten up some I look stronger and more impressive (at least in clothes!)
That's the whole point of this thread loland that was the point of my pm to u,,,,explain what a long drawn out post here couldn't or get blown off,,,

I don't look THAT bad now... its not good... but its better!
Here are pictures of what I look like now!
You look like compete shit. Seriously, I could never ever get that fat even if I wanted. I can't even imagine what boatloads of junkfood you must ingest on a daily basis if you look like that while lifting regularly :-XI don't recall ever seeing your picture, stud.

But we've seen yours.... :-X :-X :-XAs I thought.
As I thought.
ach, dieting fat off is very hard and tiresome and not much fun, thats why you chose to be fat.

Didn't mean to hijack your thread, but Chaos requested a nude from me so I had to deliver something. Good luck with the epic leans man.

Huge ach you never been really tempted to go on the dark side and do roids?
Looking good in the recent pics, ACH! That upper arm is very full.
Ach...let me ask you this (as I have all the guys who 'bulk up'). Do you really think you put on all that much muscle when you do that? I did it one time...never again. I felt like shit and prepping for a show was the worst. Took 16 weeks to do it. Have you ever tried to just stay leaner and just accept the slower gains?
Not really... noach,,,last paragraph u answered you own question,,,,there ya go...now get going..
Thanks buddy
No when I do end up dieting down after an off season bulk, I find that the muscle gains were really minimal. Its not about competing, its really I just prefer feeling bigger and stronger in the off season, I hate feeling small when I diet down. And yes there was one year that I stayed at 210 the whole offseason... was one of my best preps ever after that, stayed strong the entire precontest and was setting personal bests in squats 4 weeks out.

You need to post those progress photos with you in that yellow towel weekly.
It's obvious you knew what you were doing back then when you competed, but you will find that the older you get the harder it gets to bulk up and lean down. In your older twenties you can cut out one meal and be lean, as you get older, the same diets don't work, the same amount of cardio doesn't work, trying to do it clean doesn't work.::)
the years and years of hydrogenated oils from fast food build up a layer of fat that no diet or cardio can burn.
Good luck man.
Just know, we aren't cheering you to fail, we are cheering you to succeed. Pakistan needs something good to happen to them for once.
