Loved Hearn's style. Hagler was a beast though.

Probably not the greatest fight ever, but most likely the greatest 3 round fight ever.

Awesome fight. I remember watching it as a little kid with my dad and his friends. Also the first fight I ever bet on, kinda sorta. I remember my dad calling his bookie, and asking who I thought was going to win the fight. The extent of my boxing knowledge at 5, was that Hagler was bald and looked like Mr. Clean, so he was was tougher than Hearns who had long hair and was prettier. They all got a kick out of that.

Tyson had great build up, but none of the majesty of Hearns / Hagler. Tyson fights were simply waiting for Tyson to be unleashed.

If someone says that's the greatest fight ever I couldn't argue with them. Two guys at the top of their game saying fuck it. Lets stand in front of each other and throw bombs. The one standing is the winner. There isn't enough superlatives for that fight.

This was one of the most amazing fights ever. Foreman vs Ron Lyle. They both fought their heart out. Lyle learned to fight in prison doing time for a felony.

Few skills, but what a fabulous fight! Lyle making the most of his limited repertoire, compliments to both

I think Foreman had a lot of skills. He couldn't have won the Gold medal in the Olympics without them. Just back in those they days they had a mindset to fight. Lyle was a strong bruiser. I think this fight was the highlight of his boxing career. A real Rocky moment.

Today's mindset is to fight 2 minutes of a three minute round. Fight defensively running around the ring counter punching.  That's why as good as Mayweather is at avoiding punches he doesn't get high praise because he fights to out point another boxer by not fighting him. Now Manny is old school.  I still see a boring fight with it going the distance with Mayweather out pointing him.
