Brad Harris, best known for his work in sword-and-sandal movies, died after a short illness Tuesday in Santa Monica. The actor and stuntman worked in Europe for majority of his career, appearing in over 50 spy films and spaghetti Westerns in the 1960s, including “The Fury of Hercules,” “Pirates of the Mississippi,” “Black Eagle of Santa Fe,” “Kiss, Kiss, Kill, Kill,” “Spy Today, Die Tomorrow,” “Death Trip,” “The Mad Butcher” and “Supermen.”
Harris got his start as a stuntman in Stanley Kubrick’s “Spartacus. His first leading roles were in Gianfranco Parolini’s 1961 films “Goliath Against the Giants” and “Samson.” Harris owned a company, Modern Body Design Harris, where he invited and marketed fitness equipment. His daughter said her dad lived by his motto, “Stay fit. Have fun. Harm no one.”

That guy was fit and in shape his whole life. He had a good run. I really admired his fitness life style. Arnold wanted him to compete but he wanted nothing to do with it. He treated his running program equal to his lifting. He was healthy and vibrant till the end.

Damn...this is sad news. Brad Harris was a legend and such a great guy. Have had years of conversations with him since the early 90's. Underrated bodybuilder and actor. Brad was always in shape and training hard at Golds Venice well into his old age. I loved watching Brad train his high rep workouts in Golds. The guy trained hard and consistent. Damn.....this sucks.
