I would imagine, too, that temperature plays a factor. Those powders likely dissolve easier in hot fluid than an ice-cold protein shake.

I can't stand the taste of coffee, not even the slightest hint of it in anything.  But, I can add this to chocolate recipes (mousse, cake, cookies, brownies, etc.) and not know it's there.  It just adds a "depth of flavor" and extra richness, which ultimately makes the dessert so rich that you end up eating less

That's the finely ground coffee I was mentioning.  It's a little pricey if for everyday use.

i do still drink decaf but i've been caffeine free (high dose anyway because I still get some from green tea) for 3 weeks

yeah, well it's good living... felt normal after about 3 days going cold turkey and my sleep patterns returned to normal about 2 weeks later

I put that on top of Breyers Natural Vanilla Bean ice cream

It makes the best coffee ice cream
