Rusty's routine with graceful, powerful posing to a good thematic piece of music is a throwback to the days when posing was truly an art form. Guys like Corney and Zane, and even Arnold always had heroic looking, dignified routines that made them resemble statues come to life. It was something inspiring to watch and exciting to be a part of. Rusty carries on that tradition. Contrasted to many competitors today that come waddling out awkwardly on stage, and either do a boring uninspired routine or gyrate and wiggle around pathetically to some Rap music. There are exceptions of course, like Melvin Anthony. While Kai looks kind of silly in his Lion get-up, and we all know some of his bad lifestyle choices in the past, I give him some credit for trying to be creative and do something different. As disgusting as his grapefruit debacle is, at least in his posing he tries to be artistic.
