Ok, if Stubbs is penalized for his legs, why isn't Kamali? Both have small legs, but at least Stubbs has definition. And when it comes to upper body, Stubbs is miles ahead.

kamali improved a lot,but melvin,richardson genetically are ahead and have been frontrunners in these shows for yrs.they have natural shape and grew into more as they added size,kamali got too big for some reason and lost his shape along the way.

His lats are huge from the back, but practically invisible from the front. Melvin and Craig have bigger and more shredded legs, delts, pecs, arms... along with smaller waists. He looks better than he did before but he just doesn't have the genetics. I know he worked hard though, good job King.

King looked VERY good... People can hate on King if they want, but I, for one, think he looks leaps and bounds better.

Nah, he was much sharper at the NY Pro. Slightly bigger lats to match his arms, and shredded conditioning and he's top 5 at any show. His structure and proportionality beats alot of pros.

kamali should retire, I'm not trying to kick the guy when he's down, but the fact is he has ruined his physique. He has 1st stage palumboism, and despite disgusted's best efforts it simply cannot be reversed. His use of synthol, insulin, gh, and clearly poor training, has destroyed any hope of even a hint of a successful bodybuilding future.
he is still young, and obviously loves the sport, so I'm sure he can do something else rather than compete, i.e. maybe personal training, a nutritionist, promoter, gym owner, supplement owner. i agree even these would be hard for him given his lack of credibilityafter what he has done to his physique, but he must have learned alot of hard lessons over the years, and can help pass that knowledge down to others.
the future has 2 paths for king.
path one: he keeps on competing, becomes a laughing stock, like palumbo, kovac, etc and loses what little credibility and respect he has left.
path two: he retires, takes time to think where he should go fro here, perhaps start off small by personal training some local guys, giving them nutrition/gear advice, and try to build a new reputation from there.
i wish him well.

It was the best Kings looked in a long time. I do think there were guys that were better that should of placed higher though. Kings posing routine was kinda odd. He basically only showed his back for the entire routine. He hit like 2 side shots and maybe 2 front shots totalling 20secs. His back was pretty crazy.

You are correct. But given the cards the King currently holds and with Disgusted at his side, they are doing a helluva job dealing with it.
King did look his best in years, but it wasn't enough to impress the judges in comparison with the other guys onstage that day.

Yeah Disgusted did a good job, esp when you look at what shari looked like at the ironman, and knowing (from what they tell us) that they didnt use direurtics or insulin this time..... but its a pro stage... improvement or not, there were alot of dudes that were just more complete than King, 6 is a gift...

King was the hardest, driest guy on stage, and OWNED everyone from the back. His RLS and back double bicep killed everyone. His glutes were shredded, his hams were ripped, and his lower back was lean as can be.
From the front he needs more quad sweep and a lil' more seperation in his thighs, his waist is a tad bigger, but its much improved.
Tell me how Melvin was overall better, when his butt was soft, he was not hard at all, and he has no calves or back width???

What's new, Melvin has always had a smooth KFC butt. That was the primary reason why Craig Titus and Melvin broke out into a fist fight at Gold's. Titus approached Melvin with an inquiry to fuck his wife, then proceeded to call him a softy ass.

Kamali put in ALOT of hard work and effort into this show, and brought his best ever overall package. He was dry, hard, grainy, and had tons of muscle. What more can u ask for.
People here on getbig just talk shit about him, because it used to be the cool thing to do. But I give credit where credit is due, and King deserves lots of credit for what he brought to that AC pro show this past weekend.
And yea from the front there arent too many people that look better than melvin, ill give him that, but King looked his best ever, and more than held his own. There is no way darrem charles, joel stubbs, and an off toney freeman should have placed ahead of him, thats all im saying.

No one's saying he or any of the other top 6 didn't bust their ass to get there. You're right about him being ripped to shreds. Melvin and JOJ had the best overall packages.
With King, I think his muscle shape does him in sometimes. He was the grainiest from the back besides Melvin and JOJ, and had a big upperbody, but it's not as pleasing as most others. Coinciding with his unproportionately small quads from the front, he looks unfinished. It's not as if King was screwed. It's just their overall packages and musle shape were better, besides Stubbs, who is just a freak. If King can get his quads up to how they looked in the 'week out' shots, then he would probably have beaten Stubbs.

I agree. this is some of the best conditioning he has had since his rookie year. Inner thighs are huge but what is happening to the rest of his legs. Sweep is dissappearing. He deserves props for bringing his conditioning and waist in.
