We can't go back to the days of boring black curtains which highlight the bodybuilders. We don't watch the Mr Olympia to see the bodybuilders. We want to see $10,000 LED screens with exploding volcanos, lava, and fire! What an incredible display! Incredible entertainment!

I thought I was in the minority opinion on the Foud vs. Chick argument.  I thought Bob acted like a total bitch.

He's supposed to be the athletes rep (in lieu of a union but similar to a union rep) yets sucks the ever loving balls  of the IFBB and when an athlete brings up some constructive criticism,  though some of it was illogical, some of it was worthwhile suggestions.  All Bob heard was a personal attack on him and he way over reacted.

I agree: the lighting should be uniform to the extent possible and the background should be black. All that LED lighting washes out the details and the logos of the sponsors is loud and lacks class. Its tacky and looks cheap. Worst of all it hampers the competitors appearance.

whoever was in charge of the stage and lighting at the 90's Ironman pro shows should be hired for every single bodybuilding contest.

This "Gates of Hell" themed one was one of the worst Olympias in years visually. Maybe it came off better in person, but the colors and busy-ness of the whole thing was off-putting.
