Seems to me the Getbig on line contest was ill considered. Why? Well, the very idea of Getbig is that this is a place where you can bag anything and anyone. Look what has already happened re that contest. The usual suspects are performing as expected and the whole thing has degenerated into a non event. It doesn't matter now who actually got the judges' decision.

I think any future contest has to be held on stage somewhere. Look at the missed opportunity on the weekend. We could have had everyone in that Mountaineer show and it would have been a spectacle. Triple V would have been there and we would have had heaps of photos and so on and the results would be here, too.

The bottom line is that the level of physiques on Getbig isn't great. What we have are a bunch of novices and beginners. Many exaggerate their own appearance and standing. Goodrum is another who has trouble in that department. The lesson is clear: there is a wide gap between thinking you look good and actually looking good on stage. The professionals look so much better than most of the wannabes on Getbig. Even Kamali is light years ahead of most of the lads. Sort of ironical in a way.

Make the Mr Getbig an actual contest somewhere and be done with all the bickering. It is pathetic. You don't win a contest by arguing on the internet or boasting how good you are.

Don't schedule a show to interfere with anything Goodrum is appearing at. Entertainment like that should be embraced and not missed.

look no offense arvilla, but you should be embarassed comparing yourself with alex.  he's half your age and natural, hes lots healthier, and his legs kill yours.  if he did steroids he'd destroy your pill popping self. so give the kid some props huh?

In all honesty any one of these MrGetBiggers could have used drugs at some point. The only thing you have to base their "natural" status on is their word. That's not an attack against anyone just fact.

i still hate you.

i'm just saying that arvilla having 2o years of lifting on you, plus years of gear use, still couldn't show up bigger than 185 at a show.

he also has no legs and back.  but his gyno makes up for it.
He was on stage at 198 for prejudging and over 200 for the night show.  Where did you get your figures from PowerRod?

-needs back thickness and width
-thicker chest
-abs are fine i guess
-lack of quad sweep
-needs hamstrings
-calves are surprisingly great
-needs to loose 25-30lbs (im guessing mostly water, hes has some fat, but doesn't look like its whats keeping him down, he needs to learn how to get the water out)

but...hes lookign better then 2004...good job vince

Calves are good due to the fat they've had to lug about for years; still, very surprising improvements, poarticularly abs.

You're forgeting a few things...

Sure they may be "novices", but think about how many more people the Mr. Getbig is reaching compared to normal novice bodybuilding shows.  Fifty people in a one-time audience vs. thousands...or more, especially with good marketing.  The internet is a very powerful tool!

It really isn't practical to get everyone out to one show when they live all across the country and around the world.  There would be 2 competitors on stage if your lucky.  You'd loose the original appeal of the Mr. Getbig in the process.

If you look so much better on stage, then the competitors should consider that part of the challenge - mimicking the conditions that yield such great photographic possibilities.

In a sense, having to recreate a live bodybuilding show with just 12 frames makes this competition much harder.  Those stills have to be absolutely perfect and creating them should be taken very seriously.

(Next time, they could also push the "best poser/routine" award more, to get video submissions.)

I don't know about you guys, but I've enjoyed reading the feeback and comments coming straight from the competitiors while the competiton has been under way   :)  ...you definitely don’t get that kind of interaction at any bodybuilding show!

This is a one of the kind bodybuilding competition and should stay that way. :)

(The only thing - maybe change the date, so Vince Goodrum can make himself available to compete!)

The on line squabbling ruined the Getbig show. Sure it would have been more fun had Goodrum enterred. Someone has to come last. We all could have predicted the big egos wouldn't accept the result if they didn't win. Seems to me a big waste of bandwidth.

Mountaineer Figure Division: Vince G Is One Creepy Mofo!

"My gf did the figure and confirmed evderything Storm and the others said about backstage. She said he was bouncing around, getting pumped up over the course of more than 2 hours! She said "I don't know why he bothered, I didn't think you could get a pump in fat!"

She also said Vince is one creepy mofo and the figure girls that weren't laughing at him were genuinely scared of him."

"First off you werent helpin anyone- you were just in the way-dont try to paint a picture of some generous dude backstage, there were plenty of people oiling up folks backstage- I was layin there chillin for at leat an hour b4 I got on stage, you sir are fantasizing all this. It's not my job to help oil people up allthough I ended up doin that for someone I know at the night show. But I think most competitors dont want someone oiling them up who isnt there for that sole purpose. Im sure that NOONE wanted your help.
Quit lying."

"All my pics were of the night show..As I said he moved so darn much during his routine I couldn't get a still focused shot of him..Guys he really has something wrong with him but needless to say he asked for the heat..For him to brag about being a expert in nutrition it is fckd up he keeps showing up to shows like this.

The white trucks were a bit much and Viola is def living in some minboggling built little world that swirls around in that skull of his..If you were to hear him talk you would think he had a little suger in his tank very girly and his damn kness locking back like a highschool cheeleader makes you wonder how many fields he plays on.."

First off, I didn't pump up for 2 hours straight. I simply keep pumped from time to time since the Jr class went on late. And yes I was using my push up bars and most of the other competitors were using them as well to including Storm who problably didn't realize that they belong to me. I also let people borrow the extra Hot Stuff, Posing Oil, Bronze Cream, toning bands, that I brought along as well. I'm sure that you used my push-up bars as well because everyone else did. Some of you folks like yourself Aido refused to help any competitors put any oil on when the help staff wasn't there yet. I did however gave a hand and took care of some of the folks.

You folks can call me asshole on the internet boards but in real life, I'm actually a nice guy who isn't an asshole in not people use any stuff I have.

Even if competitors were laughing behind my back, so what?? Only cowards do things like that. I would seriously doubt that happenned as most of them thanked me for giving them a hand in putting on their posing oil or letting them borrow my supplies or equipment. If they did have an issue with me beyond that, then they have issue that go beyond me.

I sorry if you folks don't understand but none of you will never stop me no matter what you say about me. You can put up morphed pictures, make horrible comments, talk about my family...etc. Doesn't matter. I feed off your hatred and obsession with me. The more you talk, the bigger and better I get. I take it all to the gym and release that negative energy through the weights.

Eventually, I will be a destroyer on the bodybuilding stage and that's something you'll have to deal with because it will come together one day for me. I was better this year than in 2004 and even though I'm my own worst critic, I'm still glad that I was better and I'll continue the training and next time be even better than before. And I will do it drug-free without the use of steroids.

My spirit and soul is too powerful to ever yield to the negative remarks anyone makes and it is the only thing I need to become a great bodybuilder. It will happen because I will make it so.
