College football fucking blows so who cares.

So does your dad, but you probably still care about him.

Here's a question:  Has Pete Carroll ever scheduled a top 3 SEC team pre-conference?  Think he would have had an argument if he had beaten even Ole Miss or Georgia...a mid-range team on the road.

no and he probably never will but it's not just him, 95 percent of schools schedule patsies for pre conference games.

in his case he conf is full of patsies...and it doesnt get better next season.  thank god 1 team yrly finds away to beat them in conf.  road is too easy for them to even be in the NC picture even if they were undefeated this yr. no wear on this team at all except joe mcknight in and out this season.

i'm a Mizzou fan but they don't have a chance, can't believe they gave Pinkel all that money when he hasn't beaten anybody good yet.

True, but keep in mind, the program is INFINITELY better than it was 8 years ago.  Local sports shows were talking about this tonight after the loss to KU yesterday (was paying Pinkel a mistake?).... and the conclusion was no.  OK and TX have literally a 100 year head start in football tradition and winning ways.  It will take a while longer to get MO to the point where they are a legitimate BCS threat every year, and being competitive with teams like TX and OK.  But many analysts believe MU to be in the right direction with pinkel and it will just take a bit more time to get a lot of those blue chippers from the south to make their way up North.  Having a strong Kansas team and good recruiting operations with mangino will only help Mizzou in that respect (legitimizing the whole Big 12 North in the eyes of players from TX and OK).

I know, I know...although the Big 12 made a bigtime comeback this season, there's still no way Texas can compete with an Alabama or Florida, although I think UT-Florida would be a fun game to watch.

I think America wants OU-Alabama, though.

The Big 12 is every bit as good as the SEC...  I can't understand this love affair the media has with SEC teams.

I really like watching the Big 12, but nobody in the conference plays any defense...none, zero, nada.  In the SEC Bama and Fla are much more balanced.  After those two the SEC is very average this year.

When it comes to football, I've always been an SEC guy, because the brand of football they play is just that damned good.

What I don't understand is the continued love affair the media has with the Big Ten.  Talk about total fraud!  And it's been that way for a few years now.

The Big 12 was down for a bit, but they admitted they were down and didn't try to pretend they were something other than what they were.  I started rooting for them as underdogs and they've really put on a great show for America this season.

All that being said, it's ludicrous to suggest that the SEC is not far and away the best (football) conference in America.

As for Mizzou, they're probably back in the cellar once Chase Daniels leaves.   ;)

maybe not, Blaine Gabbert is a very good recruit at QB, they should have given him a little more playing time in some of the blowout games.

Yep.  Big Ten is teh suck.

I still think Big12 is underrated and SEC is overrated, though.

Well the latest is that even if Florida beat Bama, they might not move up enough in the computer rankings and we could see a Texas vs Oklahoma natl championship game....

Don't the teams have to be from different conferences?

Stomped?  They lost by 6 points on the last play of the game.  ::)    Tech lost to Oklahoma by 40 points.

I admit that Texas didn't deserve to win the game, but at the same time, even fans have to wonder why they couldn't make a play when they needed it most.

But, the tiebreaker used by the Big 12 is just one more reason why the SEC is the superior conference.  ;)

the ONLY reason i'd put Texas in the Big 12 title game is the 4 game run they had to get through and ALMOST won all of them, they came within 1 play of beating TT, OU, Mizzou and Oklahoma State, that being said OU is the superior team right now.

OK will get it done against Bama or get nailed by FL.  TX would be dog meat in a NC game vs SEC Champ.  This guy would be lucky to get 10 yrds rushing.  3rd and 9 all night for TX.

yeah maybe not Ogbannaya but Demarco Murray and Chris Brown would be able to run the ball a little bit, not as much as theyve run on other teams but they'd be able to run it.
