The guys weighs about 160 and that was the first time he ever did a real leg workout, you guys are pretty brutal

Most trainers dont know how to work out right, 3 minutes between sets ect. , we took 30 second rests between sets, any of you brave guys want to try and keep up in a leg work out feel free to stop by

Maybe put the feet a little lower on the hack squat. Looks like he's working hard though.

Teach him about range of motion. Not this 30 seconds between squat sets crap.

IMO, after 30 seconds, chances are your heart rate hasn't returned to normal.  That is, if you did a real set (of any movement).

Would you start the next set with your heart already racing?  Maybe if the goal is aerobic, not muscle-building.

I always thought the rule of gaining muscle was to start the next set as soon as your heart rate has returned to normal.
