even if their car had no fire extinguisher, Im sure a building next there had, but you dont see the guys recording it worrying not even a little bit, one was thinking about pussing out and running away and the other was all about future youtube views.

welcome to the internet age

Not all fire extinguishers are the same. It has to be rated for putting out gasoline fires. and you are assuming the buildings are open...on a Sat afternoon.

dude, you were talking about Front tank Porsches before and how someone you knew had a Carrera GT catch fire...
If you knew that person and also about 911s, then you'd know that wasn't a Carrera GT and that GT didnt have a front tank, as it was posted on the 2nd or third page, and if your friend had them, and you would have said something about the extinguishers before hand. And you would have googled a Carrera GT.

Also, if you watched the video, that car was in flames, how the hell you gonna expect someone to roll up, and know an extinguisher is onboard, reach into the flames (like they are flame retardant) grab an extinguisher than may have been burned up, and use it?

Think dude, all of what you said makes no damn sense, and has holes all over the place.
i always have my fire extigisher at the ready, heres my ride, doing a couple quartermile runs(i live my life a quartermile at a time 8) )

those bags under the drivers seat are to cancel out the wheelie prone raw power from the engine

btw are those porsche gt wheels still usable?maybe for sale, wanted to up the anthe on my ride :D

Did you see any movement? Do you hear any voices? Did you see people jumping out a car that was wrapped around a pole and split in half? No, you didn't. The car was engulfed in flames. And there was a loud bang when people came up to it. That means metal shrapnel and pieces of glass flying at people.
The driver and the passenger were long dead. Engulfed in flames. It is what it is. There is no over analyzing.

If we are arguing about a dude taking video, they had no extinguishers, and it's best to call 911.

I thought that, but if you look at the pictures you can see the part of the car on fire in the video is the rear, the front of the car where the front seats were isnt on fire, and in the after pics this has tarp on part of it presumably covering the bodies. The black guy in the news interviews, who was his friend who presumably came a fair bit later and tried to extinguish the fire with extinguishers (7 in all),said he could see Paul in the car, either unconscious or dead, and people were trying to pull his belt off but couldn't as now the fire had spread there. Its likely then he could have been pulled out in the video, had people not feared the car blowing up.

Great point there.  It's very sad they died.  But they were using a heavy piece of metal in a VERY dangerous way :(

For others...
maybe the driver interpreted the speed limit as "per person".maybe the speedometer was in kilometers per hr,

i think he just didnt see the curve coming, thats half a u turn, would be suicidal to try that at 160mph.

that said, there was reports here of plenty ppl crashing their ricer cars straight after seeing the first part of the movie.

sure, IRL thats what real people do, but seems like its a totally different story in internet message board, here we have guys like  "parker" with his einstein like reasoning listing all the reasons why someone should not try that. After all he spends most of his days between bbing and car forums, he knows his shit.

obsivously those 7 fire extinguishers were fake because according to "parker" it was just impossible to get one in the scence according to multiple "reasons" he spent the last 60 minutes writing about.

well lazy asses will always find an excuse to not do anything so no argument here.
And people beaten in arguments always find excuses of what shoulda, coulda, woulda happened had they been there...

Yeah, you'd run around, banging on doors, looking for fire extinguishers, trying to save the people who are already cooked and dead---because if the impact didn't kill them, the fire sure did.
Which means, you would be wasting precious time trying to save people at same time condemning people who were running to the fire (and one had a cam) and then when if goes boom they run away.

Yep, superhero...what other excuses you got. You gonna fan the flames with your cape? How about blow out the flames with your breath. The best thing was to call the fire dept.

stop trying to overanalize shit to sound smart, anyone not coward in that situation would have dropped the cam and tried to do something to save the people inside, even if the chances were small.

I never said it was impossible. No where did I say it was impossible.
I was talking about you expecting that people have extinguishers on hand.
And let's not go to your pic of a 911 Carrera with one, when were talking about a Carrera GT.

I'm pretty sure when Walker got in one of the fastest factory street cars on the planet, he knew they weren't going to be driving the speed limit.
thats a preemptive, wrong assuptiom, dangerous thinking,

the average getbigger can do butterlies with the 200s, has a villa with a yacht in it, wide array of supercars in the garage, skilled in gorilla-warfare, and versatile in all martial arts, you name it, hes been in the cage.

yet, they still function like normal ppl, when mom calls that dinner is ready, the hands come out of the pants, the porn video is paused and they go have dinner , without randomly killing ppl.

Hind site can be BS….but lets give it a go. Both of these men have raced for some 10 years and recently together some advanced machines on some nasty tracks. I know that they always had a minimum of roll bars, fuel cells ILO fuel tanks, and automatic Halon fire extinguishers. For a short while I drove an 800HP Camero track car that at one time held the Silver State Classic Open land speed record for two years…207 MPH. The bars, fuel cell and ext. were minimal safety items. We had a dozen others.

The Carrera GT has all three items available. Not sayin these would have saved their lives but the passenger compartment would have been further supported and fire kept very very small instead of an explosion. Such cheap options for a $400K bullet. Unless otherwise shown these men were sadly foolish.
