Oh no... it's Richie Incognito  ::)

Speaking of Richie Incognito...

It's funny that he's viewed as the biggest A-hole in America... because he and another teammate sent rude and profane text messages back and forth... No physical violence, no risk of life/death...

While Walker and his buddy were going 150 in a 45mph... risking life of everyone in the area... and people are mourning them.

Incognito gave an out to a dude that sucked at football and wanted a reason to quit.
Walker & buddy put a 3000 pound piece of metal into a race (?) on a city street and endangered pedestrians.

Another article on drivers saying that the Porsche Carrera GT needs respect, one of which is world reknowned race car driver and Porsche test driver Walter Rohrl

Great read, man.  Damn, it says a lot when professional drivers are apprehensive about a car.

Yep, and apparently what the news is saying that street racing was ruled out, and the car was going about 40-45 miles an hour, not 160 mph (who came up with that?) and came to a bend in the road where the speed drops down to 15 mph, and the driver lost control.
A very dangerous car, known for being squirrely, and it's mid engined, meaning that it can easy to rotate, goes into a bend in a road...

Wonder what other developments...

In a car like that, at that speed; what kind of damage would one expect on impact?  Is it your opinion that the driver and passenger died on impact?

Honestly I hate when people say "who cares about celebrities blah blah blah let's care about the heroes blah blah blah".

It's human nature to connect with celebrities/people in the spotlight as those are the people WE SEE ALL THE TIME.

They connect us with their music, accomplishments, talents, etc. We all enjoyed fast and furious...it's a common bond....we all felt the "adrenaline" or "humor" or whatever emotion it evoked.

So of course we are going to feel sad about someone's death.

I know what the hero is doing but I that's it. I also know the job of a school teacher, scientist, police officer, etc. I don't connect with them personally though, as I do with someone I've seen time and time again.

Paul Walker is not superior to the soldier; nor is the soldier superior to Paul Walker. They both did different things for different people......and both were good. Great in fact. Everybody has a different path.

May both RIP.

Smartest post in the thread. People who try to compare deaths make me sick.

true.  NFL is SO inconsistent about this.  Players use it all the time, no prob.  Riley cooper uses it on youtube, no prob.  This dude uses it after being given permission by other players, and he's cut from the team.

I don't know, the car was majority carbon fiber, with a carbonfiber tub. Which acts differently than metal. One would expect that the rear would step out, due to it being a RWD and mid engined, and squirrely nature of the car. That is all I know. And from what another source had said, the fire apparently broke out in the front. But, I don't know if that is true or not.

A security camera caught the moment of impact.

You can tell that there was some time between the impact and the explosion. No way that car was going anywhere near 150. Maybe 70?
