I don't see why he couldn't.
I'm am TERRIBLE bencher (never benched more than 385), and have done 225 x 23 or 24.  Son't remember which, just that it was short of 25!

Jsut sayin'..

385lb a terrible bench!?!? Man are you crazy!??! Id love to hit that one day! Thats a very very good bench!!!

I said shoulder press, not incline.  He claimed to do some reps with 315 on a smith machine for behind the neck press, which has got to be BS based on his pic.

Bigbobs, you are putting two and two together and coming up with five.

The guy in that pic was me at the 05 Olympia Expo weighing approx 210-215 natural(can't remember my exact weight). Which makes that lift all the more impressive I guess.
The guy who did the 315 press behind neck on the smith was me in 2004 when I was on gear and weighed approx 245lbs.

Big difference - like I said in my original post - don't confuse the pics with actions. I do have pics of me weighing 240+ but a lot of them involve my wife as they were at my wedding in 04 and I'd rather not post them for the whole of the internet to see.

Can't you crop your wife out?  I'm sure you can find a way to show a pic of yourself at 240+

I claimed 30+ reps, in the same thread.  Its not really that impressive.
This does show how many tiny shits there are on this board, and how little some of you know about muscles, muscle fibers etc.

I posted this in the Teebow thread, but it seems appropriate here, as well.

"It seems to me that this debate is lagrely dependent on the the individual.

We know that some people have a greater propensity of slow-twitch vs. fast-twtich muscle fibers.  Sprinters vs marathoners for an extreme example.

Wouldn't it stand to reason that a person MAY have such an imbalance exposed on an ecercise such as this.  someone that could bench a lot of weight fr a 1RM, but be piss-poor once he goes over 15 reps or so?

I don't know, just thinking out loud.  My old training partner could out bench me for a 1RM by 30 or 40 lbs, but I was always able to out-rep him.

Again, I don't know, just throwing it out there! "

Triple H, certainly there are exceptions, but there is also a general common-sense rule of thumb.  Most people who can rep out 225 for 28 reps and weigh 235 could bench in the neighborhood of 400 pounds.  That is very believable.

Lets see the video Fatfuck, im calling Bullshit.

Never happen.  First he doesn't own a video camera.  His cell phone is 5 years old and has scratches on it and it's too hard to video something in a dirty window.  No he'll just keep talking and talking just like Leafy Twinkie.  It's all they can do.  They are Getbig legends.  It's their whole life.  Sad but true. ::)

bingo ...sad but true. Personally I would preffer to be more people upfront about their use and lifts , exchange info, advices ...stories ( like u only me ) , but sadly getbig is filled with these characters who are filled with too much hate and not enough testosterone.

Squadfather is a big chunky dude. He has the structure to be a great bencher, so why is there so much doubt here?

Hasn't he done a strongman competition at some point?

If someone is as involved in training to enter competitions that test strength, I'd believe 24 reps with 225.
this is coming from the weakest member on getbig ::).................. ;D

whats been happening justin, got any new youtube videos?

30+ reps I think is impressive.

i love the guys that come on here, post their "lifts" and claim it's not impressive when it really would be.

"yeah, i can incline bench 405 for 12...it's not that impressive..."     leave your ego at the door

You missed my point, I agree with you.  I believe he can do it, I'm just giving some creedence to the few examples of big benchers that are shit for reps.

I definately beleive he can do it.

Any lifter worth his salt should be able to get at least 15-25 reps with his bodyweight at any given time.

Also, some are definately better at a one rep max and some excell at reps.

Just a quick note for all the Squadfather nut huggers,

I'm only 5'5'' but when I was as fat as Squadfather (small film role) I also weighed 225 lbs and my dirty patio glass door reflection showed just as much muscle.

The difference is that I was man enough to admit that I was only carrying about 170 lbs of lean muscle, which is a far cry from the 230 lbs at 10% bf clean, natural and off steroids he screamed at everyone for years and years.
Remember, Squadfather claimed he had trained with both Adonis and Alex23 when they flew out to visit him (oh brother), and both of them (who at the time were also sharing the "Sarcasm" group account) swore that he was just that... pro-bodybuilder sized! In fact I'm not even sure those are really his pictures as he has often posted pictures of former GetBig members claiming they were his pictures... dude is delusional.

There is no way in hell Squadfather can bench 225 lbs for 24 reps. I doubt he can do ten clean reps with that weight. I've put my money where my mouth is and offered Squadfather $100 if he videos himself benching 225 for 20 (no fake plates).

I've made these bets with Squadfather, Kiwiol and Adonis lots of times... they always back down, because they are all completely full of shit! In fact most of "The Squad" is comprised of gimmicks and alter egos.

I have more respect for Vince Goodrum to be honest.
