Why did this Politician not campaign under the Republican umbrella?

He knew it was toxic and didn't let his message be bogged down with Republican Dogma....
which says alot for his campaigning style.

My money is on the new and upcoming nothings rising out of a county near you!
Sara palin, Joe the plumber, tito the builder...They were the first in the movement!
