the very best pre-workout drink out there?
« on: August 10, 2009, 03:50:10 PM »
hi everyone! looking for the absolute best pre-workout drink. something with whey isolate, some fast acting carbs for energy and whatever else put it to drink about 30 minutes before my workout.

i have been drinking a whey isolate with a fast simple carb drink from firstform company called ignition.

been drinking that actually before and after workout, going to try something now different post workout, but now i need something pre.

while cost is an consideration, if whatever someone here advises is truly worth it and works, then money is NO problem. thanks in advance for the replies!

I prefer strong coffee and aminos pre-workout.
The carbs (waxy maize) I consume during the workout.

If pressed for time, I’ll drink an ABB energy “shot” in leu of coffee.
And depending on when I train, I may forego the pre-W.O. aminos, instead drinking them with the carbs.

If training a bit more intense and/or while on restricted calories, I’ll consume BCAA’s both before and during the workout.

10 grams of bcaa's? can i find this amount in a powder ? by the way, forgot to mentioned during the workout i drink beverly's glutamine/bcaa mixture about 2 scoops which equals 10 grams of glutamine and bcaa's. (i think?)

vitargo? i thought people had stopped drinking this for the cost and other considerations?

sorry for the stupid question but what is citruline malate? what product has this in 4 gams that your recommend malate?

As far as one that kicks into gear quickly, I'd go with NaNO Vapor. Fruit Punch is my favorite, though the Blue Raspberry one is nice.

I haven't tried the Orange one yet; but, given MuscleTech history of bad-tasting orange supplements (Orange Cell-Tech, Orange Creme Nitro-Tech), I'll probably pass on it.

The reason most people use the pills is because BCAAs taste nasty  :-X

We can send people into space, but we can’t make BCAA powder that doesn’t taste like penicillin.

I started adding a bit of Stevia to my powder – makes it much more tolerable.

Jacked by USP Labs is a good one, NO Xplode, SuperPump 250, NaNo Vapor are all good options.

And yes BCAA powders are a great idea but it tastes like battery acid. (Not that I know what battery acid really tastes like  8))

I just take the powder by the spoonful and chase it with juice, preworkout drink, or whatever I have available to get rid of the taste.

old school UO was awesome HAHA but gawd it tasted awful!!!

 :-X ;D

you could add in a scoop of protien powder if it was desired..but atlarge nutrition's results is by far the best pre-workout supp i've ever used and they're having a big august sale.

augsale is the discount code for the website.

i get asked alot what product i'd recommend for anyone looking for results of any kind and i repeat it right back to them..if you want results TAKE "results".  stuff is insanely productive.
