These are only a few that I've hand picked among the good ones. What's yours? Some of these soundtracks are great for the gym.

Goodfellas if you like classic rock
Pulp Fiction for surf rock.
Walk the Line.
and Enemy At The Gates is James Horner's best, IMO
-
Ennio Morricone from 1966 Navajo Joe, also used in Kill Bill 2. Skip first 6 seconds if impatient/ADD:

For the win!

That's a superb movie that deserves more attention than it pitifully receives. Love the last scene when Hoskins is getting taken away and he just stares at the camera and you know exactly what he's thinking. If you haven't seen this one, make an effort and give it a go.
-
Jackie Brown and Dead Presidents are two of my favorite.

Free for the taking, if anyone wants to see it. It really is a great film.
Just as an aside, someone snuck up the forgotten Lee Marvin / Gene Hackman gangster pic "Prime Cut" a few days ago. Little weak in parts, but still very good-

Lots of great 70's rock, but goofy soundclips from the film in between the songs. Also:
-
-
Mike Oldfield, Etude, The Killing fields
Life Of Brian - ALways Look On The Bright Side Of Life!
Neville Bros, Bird on a wire (L.Cohen)
-
Lisa Gerrard, Now we are free, Gladiator
Marta Sebestyen, The English Patient
Patrick Cassidy, Vide Cor Meum, Hannibal

Some excellent choices in this thread! I'll throw this one into the hat .... Phil Collins with a legendary hit. Jeff Bridges was stud back then ...and Rachel Ward was delicious...

See the guy in the middle, the one with the moustache? Well, a few months ago he came to my work place with his computer and I repaired it for him. His name is P.H. Moriarty and he lives just outside London in a village called Chislehurst. If anyone accuses me of bullshitting I still have the recorded message that he left on my cell phone.

The soundtrack from Vision Quest is very good!
-
Into The Wild. It doesn't get Eddie Vedder than this. One of the greatest soundtracks i've ever heard. The music makes the movie.
-
Jeff Bridges was stud back then ...
You're quite the stud yourself big boy...
Say we make our own movie, this would be our soundtrack..

One of the greatest movies ever - also interesting to see the plot predict the future with the redevelopment of London real estate.
