Post by: funk51 on December 24, 2012, 11:48:12 AM
as i reported earlier on the gossip board arnold s got 1000 dollars a week for starring in hercules goes bananas aka hercules in new york. he got the role after weider made a phone call costing dennis tinnerino his shot as he was the first choice till weider stepped in. dennis t ended up getting a minor role in the same movie. arnold was paid 50,000 dollars total for his part in pumping iron. facts taken from arnold's book totall recall.

twins co-starring danny devito as the afterbirth, arnold got a cool 35 million dollars by taking a percentage of the gross instead of a flat rate.

:D in his book total recall arnold chronicles the strength of wilt chamberlain on the set of conan the destroyer. arnold says the 7 ft 1 wilt put the whole stack on the ubiversal machine on set 240 lbs ans easily performed tricep pressdowns like most guys would handle 70 or so lbs. wilt was defintely a super athlete.

it  seems hard to believe but wilt was truly a freak of nature. chronicles of his strength and athleticism are legendary.  he tried out for football and beat the best runner on the team although wilt was running in flipflops, nfl wanted him but he wanted to play quarterback.bill russell told of getting shook off a basketball by chamberlain russell had two hands on the ball to wilts one. does anyone really think muhammed ali could have beaten wilt in boxing?
