Title: Arnold failed
Post by: Stark on February 17, 2009, 04:33:16 AM
It pains me to say so, people who know me know that I am the biggest Arnold fan and I still think of him as a person that has influenced my live in some very small but significant steps.

However he has failed...California is bankrupt, 20.000 job cuts?

Furthermore I don't think he will ever be able to run for President :(

So since it looks like he will probably stop being a politician, do you think Arnold will get back to the roots and help bodybuilding?
He could well be the thing that BB needs these days, after all he keeps saying that he still loves this "sport"

Kinda hard to recover when you do dumbell curls on the ashes of someone's burned down house.  That pic is a perfect metaphor of his governorship of Kaliforia.

What will he do?  Schwarzupplements - coming soon to a GNC near you.

The job cuts are as a result of the economic climate which the whole world is going through at the moment - it's not just California. Arnold will recover - he just needs to bide his time and progress will be made. California will recover too - it's the natural progression of things. You can't expect Arnold to be the only one who can successfully take a State through economic recovery - it's not his fault and he'll recover.

well, not defending here on politics since i dont even live there, but there is a big economical crisis going around (in case you didnt know) and 20.000 jobs in California is less than Toyota for instance is firing around the world....

The number is A LOT bigger here in Sao Paulo, where we live in a so called '3rd country' ...so its a bad thing, but its not the end of the world

i may be wrong but for what i know, when he got the governor status california already had a lot of financial problems, im i wrong?

The Planet Hollywood fiasco left a bad taste in Arnold's mouth re: Sly, and Arnold is aiming to topple the Pudding King!  There are also rumors of scheduled appearances at sci-fi and comi-cons, where he will be charging upwards of $25 for an autographed picture.

Also joining the supplement game are Jason Stratham with his Creatine Transporter System, and Tony Danza's "Who's The Boss Now Bitch" line.

It's "fantastic" to see Arnold really sweatin, having to actually work a 9-5 for the first time since he was a teen. He only got into politics for ego but now actually has to do something. Even with the bad economy the concensus is that he hasn't been good, except at self-promotion of course!

god I wish he would, but I highly doubt it...he is probably the only person that could bring bodybuilding back.

Actually he will have a small part in Stallone's new movie "The Expendables'  for some reason Arnold doesnt want to called it a "cameo" ........let's wait and see.

He's got a mess in California, no question. As said, the state of the U.S. economy as a whole has to be considered.

However, one thing that must be considered is the heavy opposition he's had to face as governor. He has a legislature that has fought him every step of the way, made up of a group of people that would rather see him fail regardless of the state of the CA economy. CA is riddled with partisan politics perhaps worse than any state in the U.S. and it is a huge problem for the state...regardless of who the governor is.
