you don't what the person is going to do. So, if a person is following you at night, and it's a short (compared to Trayvon) fat fuck, chances are dude is gonna confront that person. Did you know in the state of MD, you can get a restraining order against someone for following you. Due to the fact that it was an act that put you in fear of your safety?

if trayvon was in "reasonable fear" for his life then yes he could have killed zimmerman. i doubt that a "reasonable person" would conclude that being chased is reasonable fear. now if zimmerman was waving or threatening with the gun. then ok, you got reasonable fear.

Once homeboy saw the gun he could have, and I know I'm speculating, thought his life was in jeopardy.  Wouldn't you?  I know if somebody ran up on me or was following me and I saw a gun my self preservation instincts would kick.  A gun is for killing and it's not everyday an average person is approached by someone with a gun unless something serious is about to go down.

I care about many cases, not just this one, and not just black ones. but I guess you never read what my mother had taught me.
I care because I see young men like Trayvon on the job daily, although they are adults. I care because they and I have been "racially profiled". I care because that is who I am.
