He was charged with felony assault on police, and some domestic violence stuff.

Nothing recent, though.  Even though the lead investigator wanted to charge him.

This case is simple. There are a few witnesses to talk to, some ballistics (how close was zimmerfat to the dead kid when he whacked him), a very brief medical report to read (zimmerblob's injury report) and that's pretty much it.

Either arrest zimmerglutton and charge him with murder or close the case.

I do think he will be charged.  And I think the initial release of info, statetments, and evidence will be very complete.  They know what kind of scrutiny to expect.  Sanford PD HAS to act like there's no case now, or they're corrupt at worst and incompetent at best.

But this parallel investigation, that'll be the one to watch.  If there's a case, they'll make it.
