A traffic warden lies stricken on the ground while a gang of masked thugs kick him in the head and back before stealing his moped in horrific footage posted online.

The warden, who was going about his job, was dragged from his moped before being kicked and stamped on. The gang then stole his vehicle.

The helpless victim can be heard crying "what are you doing?" as he was surrounded by the feral youths in broad daylight.

West Midlands Police are investigating the attack and looking to identify five men in the footage.

The attackers were seen laughing and taunting their victim as they beat him in front of several onlookers in the Alum Rock suburb of Birmingham between 5pm and 5.30pm on Friday.
