You can accomplish this with 5 pounds or 500.


Try benching the bar until you cant anymore. Congrats! You have just given your pecs more stimuli than any macho bro lift could accomplish.

Im not a super strong guy, but I can still bench probably around 380. Yes i realize this is a joke for a 220lb guy, but show me one guy with 200lbs lean muscle on his frame who cant at least bench 300? strength comes with size. but the strength comes first obviously

In my experience it takes enormous strength to do side laterals with good form (full ROM no swinging faggotry and actually hitting the lateral delt primarily) with more than 20 or perhaps 25 lb DBs.

That is not to say you can't get good gains from doing bigger weight with shit form though.
i use 10kg and it's pretty hard

rear delt raise with 20kg though on  a bench so no swinging

i guess the back muscles lift here thats why

Routine A:
Flat barbell bench       2 sets of 6 reps
Incline barbell bench  2 x 6
flat flies                     2 x 10

Training heavy and slow.


Routine B:
Flat barbell bench     5 sets of 12 reps
Incline barbell bench 5 x 12
flat flies                    5 x 12

Training moderate to light resting little between sets.

It's really apples to oranges. Both methods can be brutally hard in their own way. Just like a 400 meter sprint guy would never say to a 10K runner your training is easy because you didn't go all out for the first few miles of your run.

You can handle heavy weights using  5 sets of 12 reps for an exercise? When I said slow I'm referring to how much rest in between sets and not rep cadence.
