He should take his time. The Lakers will suck this upcoming season.

He will blow out the same Achilles, his going against doctors advice.
But to his credit, he knows fans pay a lot to see him and not gasol.
They will struggle.

  I trust QB

that leg needs 9 months of healing, his going to go all out on it.

i wish him the best cause i hate when people get hurt, but this wont end well.

he wants to pass jordan in the scoring list.

he should go for 45 pts a game and lose so they can have the 1st pick in draft..i hear this draft is full of stars.

Terrell Suggs came back in five months. Not as explosive, but I'd say with his body weight and the mass he carries, he'd be more inclined to re injure himself, so Kobe should be fine.

QB?

kobe has said alot of things arce, last year he said the lakers will be ok, they were NOT. the lakers will bottom out this year, he will play 40 mins and booom blow it out again.

kobe needs to stop talking, such a attention whore, his upset A-rod is getting media attention.

Great post as always. Thank you.

IMHO, kobe already dunking, sounds super dangerous.

dunking with no defenders?? big difference when he has a 20 something yr old guarding him and a 7fter in the lane.

not dangerous.

Kobe Bryant said he and his doctors have "shattered" the timetable for recovery after his Achilles' surgery.

"The surgical procedure was different ... and because of that the recovery has been different," Bryant said while traveling in Shenzhen, China, according to NBA.com. "The normal timetable for recovery from an Achilles, we’ve shattered that. Three-and-a-half months [and] I can already walk just fine. I’m lifting weights with the Achilles just fine and that’s different. So we don’t know what that timetable is going to be. It’s kind of new territory for us all."

Bryant was injured April 12 in a victory over the Golden State Warriors. After surgery, the Lakers announced that the all-star guard would need at least six to nine months of recovery.

It's unclear if Bryant will be back for opening night, but he sounded optimistic in his reported comments while touring China.

The NBA also released a pair of Instagram images from Bryant's trip to Shenzhen and Mong Kok.

Bryant has had a busy summer. In addition to working on his recovery and visiting China, he recently vacationed in Italy and made an appearance last week at a Dodgers game.

Dude,

At no point in this story did Kobe say he is going to play in every pre-season game and on opening night.  Why do you always post stuff about Kobe and quote him as saying things that he did not say?  For someone who supposedly hates him so much you seem oddly preoccupied with creating threads here about him.  You are spamming this board with bullshit about Kobe Bryant trying to spread false information about him and it's fucking weird.

Steve Nash had his leg amputated and recovered in one hour - he was dunking during the surgery.

nah, he will never be on lebrons team, and lebron will never join the lakers.

just a reminder, kobe is 35 next season..grandpa status.
