I have tasted alcoholic drinks but i've never been drunk in my life, and never want to be. I recently found out that people call this the straight edge lifestyle.
Anyone else follow this?

No reason to completely abstain, unless you have some crazy drunks in the family that made you not want to be them.
Everything in moderation.
Moderate amounts of alcohol have been proven to be beneficial.
Lastly, a good buzz can make many things a heck of a lot more fun. Don't knock it until you try it. You don't have to be falling down drunk and puking to enjoy alcohol.

I have been drunk and enjoy it very much. Although I haven't had a drink in about 9 months. It really helps to make you more social, kinda like a completely different person. I have never smoked a cig or done drugs though.

Good stuff - I've got a big bottle of Mount Gay Pure Cane Brandy Rum that I brought back from Barbados a few weeks back - that stuff is the best rum I've ever tasted.

I've cut back a lot. Can't handle the brutal hangovers.
My hangover's involve throwing up multiple times, crawling back and forth from bed to bathroom
The actual vomit is a mix of bile and stomach acid. greenish yellow liquid.
By about 6pm the following day I start to show signs of life and contemplate some sort of meal that invariably never stays down for too long.

Im not going to discuss my job on a public forum, but i will say that i plan to have my own buisness in 5-10 years from now, i don't like working under other people.
And the only people who make serious money in less time own their own buisness lol, very few people get well off working for somone else.

Yeah that shit is what it's all about haha, I don't drink as much as I used to since being in a relationship and not really "clubbing" or whatever anymore, but good to remember beer can be really fun.
I was straight-edge for about a year when I was training hard and thought following Flex magazine and doing everything right would make me massive. Now I think life is too short and a few beers doesn't interfere with training, it just impedes fat loss a little when added to your diet, but having a laugh is pretty cool and you only live once!

nothing beats hanging out with some friends and cooking some briskets, while drinking 20-30 beers a piece, and suddenly get the urge to toilet paper every house on the block "except yours". then wake up the next morning still drunk and find a girl laying across your legs passed out in front of the refridgerater(fully clothed). then come to find out you and 2 friends drank around 100 beers between the three of you......
i got drunk that day, was drunk still the next day, and had a hangover for the next two days.........the briskets turned out awesome ;D

ive started drinking on the weekends. i dont dirnk beer, i just drink vodka. last weekend i drank 3/4 a bottle of smirnoff mixed with diet mountain dew. the weekdn before last i drank a bottle or orange flavored vodka mixed into a big orange ICEE(slurpee). both tasted bomb, but the icee one was great. even though im a relaive newB to drinking, my tolerance is pretty high, even after a bottle of vodka im not stumbling or shitty drunk. and yes i can definitely see how alcohol can help with getting laid. loosens my lips up nicely. ;D

I'm not talking about getting drunk and shitting in the punch bowl or something....but if you aren't willing to have a couple of beers or manly mixed drinks with your managers/owners, you are going to be that weird guy who left the party early and went back to his room...... you will make no connections, be shunned by your peers and while they stand around during breaks exchanging stories you will be "that guy" who stands there half-laughing at stories you know nothing about and getting funny looks. The morning after I had too much of this cheap devilish wine was arguably the most painful one of my life. Fuck red wine. One thing I've noticed that reduces hangovers tremendously is to avoid hard liquor and sticking to beer. That way you get more water in your system together with the alcohol.
3 40o's of 8,2% Schlitz Bull Ice ftw 8).... I don't remember that night and woke up in my own vomit, either way it was fun though... hopefully.

I'm from the south also, and (sadly) the first time I was drunk was drinking MD 20/20 when I was 15. It was also the last time I drank MD 20/20, or "mad dog 20/20" as they called it here ;D Fun times though...

I actually think it is in many cases, most of the individuals with that kind of personality use alcohol/drugs to run away from the boring reality or being in belief that it will "cure" their "illness".
I hated reality and thought alcohol was the answer but it obviously did more bad than good - and if you have genetics and a bad judgement you will screw yourself up big time.
BB "saved" me as mentioned before - it "cured" me, it was my own rehab and when I started to train seriously = alcohol evil.
I'm faaaaaar from being like those straight egde-retards - that's for sure! ;D
