1. hair - use rogaine and nizoral shampoo. rogaine (foam) use it 3x a week and use nizoral shampoo shampoo 3x a week (leave in your hair for 5 minutes in the shower) then rinse out
2. use sun screen everyday 2x a day - even in the winter
3. use RX retin A (.05 retin ) no fancy BS creams, just use .05 retin. start out 1x a week, then slowly work up to 2x, 3x, days a week. insurance companies wont cover it cuz it is cosmetic so buy it in mexico etc etc or online
4. get blood work several times a year
5. dont waste your time Chinese HGH (blue tops or yellow tops)- save up and only use RX grade hgh - wait till your are in 40s
6. Hot saunas are proven to be huge beneficial 15-20 minutes 3x a week is ideal -
7. focus on getting good sleep - hell consider a CPAP machine if you are heavy or dont sleep well

9. when in doubt be 10lbs lighter than what you are

I've been using it for over 2 years (1.25mg a day) and it hasn't had any impact on my sex drive although there is a decrease in how much semen I produce. Do you know if it can take years to have an effect?

I don't know. But DHT is an important neurosteroid, for drive and aggression and libido etc so I personally wouldn't take it. From what I remember finasteride actually increases testosterone but it's not a net positive imo.

DHT is what makes a man a man. And you are correct. Post-finateride syndrome is real. I took finasteride for about 10 years after college. Looking back at it, I should’ve asked my doc to run labs on my DHT. Who knows what was causing my hair loss? It could’ve just been a shedding phase or my thyroid which I later became hypothyroid. I still had a lot of hair at the time but went on it as a preemptive move. I was lucky it didn’t affect my ragin’ boners, but I think it mildly affected my overall sex drive slightly. My DHT was probably crashed. I’ve stopped and haven’t noticed any increase in shedding.

You want to stay young then stay away from drugs including steroids. Guys taking steroids look ten years older than their years. Limit your drinking but moderate drinking is okay. Make sure you do both cardio and resistance training. Get a good night's sleep every day. Limit how often you go out and party. Stay lean. My powerlifting friends are so fat from their low rep training that I'm beginning it's not good for long term health. Lead a stable life. Having a good wife is part of the stability. The most important factor is genetics but you have to put the risk factors in your favor.
You'll find at around 55-60 almost all of your friends begin to look like old men. Of course there are the 60 year old fools juicing but when they go off they looked like they never did a push up.

It's all genetics. Some are made to be hard and are able to get by on 4-5 hours of sleep while holding down high stress jobs. Others are weak and need a lot of sleep and pampering. Generally speaking, high achievers are not spending 10-12 hours a day in bed. That's laughable.

Another complaint on forums is that it has reduced libido and erection strength because of the systemic absorption. It's not a listed side-effect though.

ive been tempted to use Rogaine. The reason i havent chosen to do so is because ive read too many posts by personal users said that it aged their skin, causing more wrinkles.
btw: ive been taking Finasteride at 1.5mg for close to 5 years now... went to a new doc and he prescribed me the full 5mg pill a aday..my bald spot on back of my head since Jan 2018 has grown back 80%(switching from 1.5mg to 5mg a day)...theres alot of theories saying more then 1mg a day is a waste....i swear its not...just my own personal experience...as we all know everyones body reacts differently to chemicals. The woman who has cut my hair since 2011 even made a comment if i was under less stress because my hair grew back

Does anyone here use collagen supplements? Bodybuilders in past like Steve Reeves were big on taking collagen in (beef) gelatin form.
Back in the 50's. hen Bruce Randall dieted down from 400 lb to 223 lb and win the Mr Universe. I wonder whether his intake of collagen(specifically gelatin) might have helped preserve skin elasticity and avoid looseness and sagginess.

Excessive calories and constantly breaking down tissue and rebuilding it probably means quicker way to lower cell renewal.

I don't think you are correct. Well, I don't subscribe to the bodybuilding lifestyle but on the other hand continuously triggering hypertrophy in some muscles should help keep old people young. The muscles
can adapt to stresses such as hypertrophy training. Not sure if doing a full body workout is going to produce better results but training hard enough to stimulate growth has to be good for the muscles.
I am 75 and train my arms once a week. I tell myself to train twice but every week I procrastinate and skip the second workout. I believe this happens because the workouts are so difficult. However,
my triceps are the strongest and largest they have ever been which is quite pleasing to me.
By the way, if you make it to 80 I can assure you an extra 10 years would be very welcome.

This may be a bit off topic here ...... But no one has mentioned "10,000 STEPS".
I do my best to hit 14,000 a day and can just about guarantee 50% of you 'ageless' GetBiggers that I can walk from here to there faster and with less effort and be waiting for you on the other side of 14,000.
But I'm having a tough time finding two pedometers that conistantly agree with the umber of steps I take over a 5 - 7 mile walk.
Anyone familiar with FITBIT?
Any recommended pedometer suggestions appreciated.

Yeah, I got it for free a friend of mine started a cbd company, he gave me a sample to try, but prior to this I never had any sleep issues other then waking up to piss every night, but it's true what you say about sleep aids, you never truly get REM sleep even though you are knocked out all night, you will most likely figure it out by the fact that you are sleeping many hours yet are still tired. It's an interesting thing though, maybe good for a nap if you are a nap person, just a tiny dose, catch like a half hour nap, naps you are not trying to hit REM so it may be useful for that type of thing.

GO4 and a couple others, You are too damn young to be concerned about this yet ... but wakeing up to take a piss more than once at night ... could possibly be a sign of an enlarged postrate.
And although I have yet to have that problem, one family member pissed more than three times a night (and sometimes four!) due to an enlarged prostate.
And the big problem was that the enlarged prostate eventually prevented him from pissing at all. And the only time in which he could get an enlarged prostate surgery (a simple operation called a 'prostate procedure') was eight weeks away.
So they stuck a catheter up his dick and a piss-bag tied to his leg which he had to empty numerous times during the day and night and that 'tube' and piss thing stayed there until his 'procedure'.
But during those eight weeks it was taken out and placed back in a number of times due to some complications I was never aware of.
But on each of those 'in-n-out' occasions, he said that it would have been less harmful if he had died.
So ... Piss once during your sleeping hours and there's no problem. Piss twice, no emergency but tell your doc on your next visit.
Piss 3+ times and you definitely have a problem.
That's when the doc sicks his finger up your ass to determine if your postrate is enlarged ... or even worse ... the big 'C'.
Pissing more than twice at night is a tell-tale sign that you gotta get an immediate 'dick to doc' talk.
Wear clean underware and be prepared to bend over.

Or, like beback said, you might be just drinking a lot of water before sleeping. I don't know why but I drink a lot of water just before sleeping. I get home late, eat and just can't stop drinking water. I love
ice cold water. Rarely, rarely drink anything else. In two hours I down about two liters before hitting the
sack. Once I take a swig of that near freezing water I feel like drinking the whole bottle. I piss about 4 times at night and every time I go I take another swig of water that I keep near me because I'm
thirsty. I have no problem going right back to sleep.
I get a blood test every 3-4 months (have been doing this regularly for almost 20 years). PSA is well within range. So sometimes it's not always some complicated medical condition. It reminds of a girl I
know describing in agonizing detail all her diet strategies and doesn't understand why she is so fat. I just told her that maybe she's just eating too much. She got annoyed and said it's not the simple and many
are in the same boat as she is. I just told her again that it is that simple and to do an experiment for say
about five days. Just stop eating. Stop eating entirely. Just drink water. Stop eating.
Some things are simple. It may not be easy but it's still simple. I'm sure there is a directly relationship

Sunscreen worries me. If it can stop the sun's UVA rays, what is it doing to my skin? It's six and a half dozen of the other.

i live in AZ and see it first hand - wear that stuff. there is a derm who specializes in cutting off skin cancer - he rocks sunscreen 2x a day and always wears a hat.. i will follow his lead - hats and sunscreen
there is zero cloud cover in az so it is brutal

Don't know if she's a quack yet but I have been supplementing with 5-10K of D3 recently, especially since I'm in scandinavia, it's been winter time, and I am pale as a ghost :D

You and your wallet would be far better off going to a solarium 1-2x a week than taking vit D supplements.
I was deficient in Vit D one winter. Doc put me on these super strong drops. Got tested 2 months later and barely any change. Went to solarium twice and saw an immediate improvement.
Doc's wont recommend it cos of the skin cancer nonsense but the best way to get your vit D is from ultraviolet light. And how are you going to get skin cancer from 20min a week?

take a multi vitamin and vit c... don't play sports esp. football when you are young..stay lean no bulking... train don't strain...have the proper genetics for longevity. avoid alcohol, drugs and cigarettes, no red meats..limit sugar to fruits..eat vegetables. you are what you eat...
No red meat? Come on. Stick with the grass-fed stuff (local is best) and you'll be fine. Our ancestors weren't primarily herbivores...
