Press Release from Arnold Classic...
Dexter Jackson Aims For Record-Tying Fourth Arnold Classic Title
Six-Time Champ Iris Kyle, Oksana Grishina, Erin Stern, Nicole Nagrani Lead Women’s Fields
Dexter Jackson will gun for his record-tying fourth Arnold Classic title when he leads a field of 13 men’s professional bodybuilders the 25th Anniversary Arnold Classic at the 2013 Arnold Sports Festival. Jackson, who will compete in Columbus for the 14th time, won the Arnold Classic in 2005, 2006 and 2008. A win in March would tie Jackson with the popular Flex Wheeler, the Arnold Classic champ in 1993, 1997, 1998 and 2000. Cedric McMillan, making his Arnold Classic debut; Ben Pakulski, fourth in 2012; and Toney Freeman, fifth in the 2012 Arnold Classic Europe, are expected to challenge.
In the Ms. International, six-time champion Iris Kyle returns to the Veterans Memorial stage after sitting out 2012 due to injury. Kyle will be challenged by five-time winner Yaxeni Oriquen, last year’s winner, and Deb Laszewski, who finished second in 2012.
Five-time Fitness International champ Adela Garcia will not compete in 2013, leaving the door open for Oksana Grishina, Bethany Cisternino, Tanji Johnson and Myriam Capes to battle for the title among a field of 12. Grishina beat Garcia heads up to win the 2012 Arnold Fitness Europe, while Cisternino (fourth), Johnson (fifth) and Capes (sixth) will look to improve on impressive showings in 2012.
A new champion will also be crowned in the Figure International. Three-time defending champ Nicole Wilkins will not compete, leaving 2012 Arnold Figure Europe winner Erin Stern as the favorite among a field of 18. Candice Keene, Ava Cowan and Heather Dees all return after top six finishes in 2012, while Camala Rodriguez makes her Figure International debut after finishing second in the Fitness International in 2012.
Nicole Nagrani, winner of the inaugural Bikini International in 2011; India Paulino, second in 2012; Jamie Baird, third in 2012; and Nathalia Melo, fifth last year, lead a pack of 18 in the Bikini International. Olga Puzanova (Ms. International), Melinda Szabo (Fitness International), Olga Gallardo (Figure International) and Ashley Kaltwasser (Bikini International) earned automatic invites in the IFBB Pro League events based on overall victories at the 2012 Arnold Amateur IFBB/NPC Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Championships.
The 25th Anniversary Annual Arnold Classic, Ms. International, Fitness International, Figure International and Bikini International contests will be held March 102 at Veteran Memorial and the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio during the Arnold Sports Festival. Visit www.arnoldsportsfestival .com for more information and www.ticketmaster.com/arnold for ticket information.
The Friday and Saturday night shows in Columbus will have a slightly different look in 2013. The Fitness International, Fitness International and Figure International will be held on Friday, March 1, while the Arnold Classic, Ms. International and Arnold Strongman finals will be held on Saturday March 2.

If McMillan comes in peeled he should NOT win over the Dex we saw at the Masters, McMillan has not proven himself and we are talking IFBB judging not opinions on how you guy like his physique, I like his physique to but Dexter is more compact and that is what wins the judges. Now if McMillan has put on 15 lb of muscle and comes in peeled then he could win, but the amount of muscle on his frame that we have seen so far won't cut it.

Ronnie Coleman
It was the first time it had ever happened: a Mr. Olympia competing in the Arnold prior to defending his title later the same year. When all was said and done, 247-pound Coleman, in what may have been the best condition of his career, had added the one contest his résumé lacked. But the toll of peaking twice almost cost him the Sandow, and it was the last time (thus far) that a reigning Mr. Olympia has thrown his hat into the Arnold ring.
-
Kevin Levrone
The Maryland Muscle Machine was one of the sport’s original hybrids, combining stellar shape and symmetry with the size and thickness to rival the mass monsters of the day. His delts, traps, and triceps were in a league of their own, and his tiny waist supported deeply separated and flaring quads. Levrone practically owned the hands-in-front most-muscular pose.
-
Rich Gaspari
Gaspari won the inaugural Classic in 1989 and cemented his status as one of the best bodybuilders of the mid- to late 1980s. With shredded glutes, grainy-hard condition, and eye-popping vascularity, he redefined the word ripped. Bodybuilding would never be the same after The Dragon Slayer.
-
Cedric, Tony or Dexter will take this one.

8 weeks out...looks ready to step on stage.
-
Jay Cutler
Dubbed the uncrowned Mr. Olympia after his second-place finish to Ronnie Coleman in 2001, the following year Cutler walked through the competition to secure his first Arnold. With size that was second only to Coleman and a back that was improving every year, a Cutler win in March was nearly a foregone conclusion.
-
keep those coming Alex :)
-
keep those coming Alex :)
Dexter Jackson
Though never the biggest man onstage, Jackson defeated all comers with a level of detail that has yet to be surpassed. His 5'6", 235-pound frame was a mass of striated muscle. Delts, pecs, arms, lats, spinal erectors, glutes, hams, and perhaps the sharpest midsection of the modern era helped The Blade slice through the competition.
-
Kai Greene
One of the sport’s most colorful personalities, Greene took his physique—and his career—to the next level with his first win in 2009. Full, sweeping quads and hams, a barn door back, and posing brilliance second to none helped him defend his title the following year. The former underdog is now counted among the top three bodybuilders in the world.
-
Flex Wheeler
The Sultan of Shape holds the record for most Classic wins. Many consider his physique in the 1993 rendition—with its unparalleled shape, crisp muscularity, and flawless proportion—one of the greatest of all-time. Though he would collect 14 more pro titles in the years to come, Wheeler was never able to match that magical combination. The 2000 Arnold marked his last appearance and win on the Columbus stage.
-
From Arnold Sports
Myriam Capes is injured and will not compete in the Fitness International. Myriam hopes to be back for the Arnold Classic Brasil.

I think Dexter is better than McMillan right now but he'll hv a hard time peaking 3 times in 5 months. For that I have to go with McMillan
-
Who's your top pick to win this (2013 Arnold) event?
-
Dexter is o much better it's crazy, although if cedrick gets his nipples ripped pele are in trouble!

Last year he just looked like a fat fucker at 440.

why is kai not competing?
-
why is kai not competing?
He is after the Oympia. Has won the Arnold twice and is only 1 man away from the Olympia throne, makes more sense to put all his efforts on the Olympia only.
-
Worst line up ever. Reading the list made me double check to make sure this wasn't the Iron Man or North America Championship.
If Dexter loses this he just needs to retire. He should only have to diet two weeks for this as opposed to his usual four.

Dexter in for some early cash, next stop auzzie pro easy money baby.

Seeing that line up, I honestly believe that Kenny Jones could crack the top 10.
This isn't a "battle" at all. It is nothing more than waiting for Dex to show up and get his check.

True but he can not take this lightly, there are guys that have potential to leap forward. Cedric and Ben even Fouad very underrated, Fouad has all the bodyparts and come in peeled just need a little more legs to match everything and i huge, he will be top 5 along with Johnny
-
Including Johnny in the top 5 cements my statement of what a weak line up it is.
