"The human Centipede". One of the most disturbing movie I've seen in a while.
-
I saw a trailer for this (not the same you linked) a while back and it actually made me feel really....down?... for the rest of the day. It did not sit right with me at all. I think the combination of the concept, knowing someone thought about this concept in detail, then actually made a film about just does not sit right with me at all. What the hell is wrong with some people.

have to be quick on the draw around here... just a little bit behind on this one broski...

it not even a good concept, its just fucking disgusting
people just attempt to pass of shock and gore, as some form of entertainment
-
its sad and depressing that people even make the effort to create horrible stuff like this.
all that good horror movies do is make the audience leave with an unsettled, disturbed, sick feeling...why not create something uplifting instead. life is hard enough on its own.

Why is it not a good concept?
It is an original one, that's why people are talking about it. Not a normal slasher-film but it's made in a twisted millipedic sort of way instead.

I like how at the end of the trailer (2:18) the bottom of the screen says “100% Medically Accurate.”
That's like a 1/3 step away from saying, “based on a true story.”
-
wtf .... that was just too much..... i need to walk outside after that ...oh wait, theres a bomb out there too ...fml
-
you re responsible of what you feed your brains (cognitions and behaviors) with.

The reason is that we have something in us that feeds on misery.

If it is "100% Medically Accurate" does that means it's a thoroughly tried and tested concept?

Well said. Some get a kick out of it, at the surface but have no clue how it affects their subconscious.
My wife is one of them; she gets a huge kick out of it but then has nightmares and doesn't know why...

I read something that said the director spoke to a few doctors to verify that the way he did it was something that could be done with today's medical and science procedures!
Not watching the trailer, and not watching the movie ;D

desperate housewives full house or any other soap you see on tv has the exact same kind of impact than the "movie" we re talking about in this thread. Every single thing you smell, see, hear, feel, alterates and impregnates your mind for the better...or the worst. We have to be smart when selecting what's going to alterate us. Parents play a big part in this. They are suposed to teach this selection system to their kids and better it all life long. The societies we re living in nowadays (the "communication" era), emit a lot more messages than in the past, and most of em are luring people and especially kids into doing stuff that is immediate , obsessive and ultimately psychologically damaging. Adults arent spared either.
More than ever our societies need a strong comeback of values, Men, and Fathers.

People are pathetic if they are entertained by such garbage.
How about lining up to see this instead when it comes out:

You think it's possible to "detoxify" our mind from all that shit that's been accumulating over the years?

It’s not all bad...
Maybe it'll give people a new costume party idea for Halloween.
Then, they can give “The Crow” a rest.
