I have a sweet tooth which I keep under control but I'm going to try cutting out all simple refined sugars completely. The only sugar ill get everwill  be from fruit and greek yogurt and dairy like cottage cheese. On and off season. I'm curious as to what difference this will make. I see no reason for these simple white sugars ever. However I'm sure ill be withdrawing for awhile.

When I go no carb, or even just cut refined sugar I get an awesome boost.  The skin on my face looks fucking amazing within two days, I have way more energy, no cravings.  Works out really good.

Maybe it's just me, but I can't handle sugar.

Give it ten years, and we'll all be saying what idiots we were about demonizing fat.

body runs on glycogen, not sugar.

all in all, on humanity timescale, all carbs are pretty recent dietary additions for humans.

"Gluconeogenesis (abbreviated GNG) is a metabolic pathway that results in the generation of glucose from non-carbohydrate carbon substrates such as pyruvate, lactate, glycerol, and glucogenic amino acids."

the difference between saturad fats and unsaturated fats from looking at them physically is one thing:the saturated are not liquid.

Bingo!

One or two million years of eating only meats and greens and suddenly we think potatoes and simple sugar should be part of our diet.

diets mean everything.everything.

natural or not.

try training with only eating jelly or only beer or only drinking icetea.

it wont be any good

sorry dude, but that's a ridiculous statement, coz who the fuck is just gonna eat just one thing throughout the day? no one

Let's re-phrase the question:

Who here would rather drink 500 kcals of saturated fat in the form of deep frying oil each day (made into a drink that tastes ok, if that is possible haha), and who would rather drink 500 kcals of any of the commercial sports drinks containing only pure sugar each day?

Disregarding the taste, I'd be 100% sure my health would not be negatively impacted by the 500 kcals of sports drinks, while it probably would be negatively impacted by the 500 kcals of deep frying oil.

Both chemicals in a fair 1 vs 1. (stripped of their carrier foods)

We found it later so it shouldn't be part of our diet, epic reasoning  ::)

Glycogen is a carbohydrate/sugar by the way.
