Title: Bodybuilding Lockout
Post by: 240 is Back on September 11, 2011, 10:32:49 AM
as I watch the rescued NFL season and contemplate the lockout that could have cost us the games,

I'm thankful Pro BBing's profit-sharing is structured so fairly for everyone, so no such strike could ever take place.

Before they could have a lockout their athletes rep would have to organize a union.

Maybe pro bodybuilding (IFBB) is structured as a tax free, not for profit organization like the National Physique Committee (NPC) is and we just don't know it?

Thread deleted in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1......

It's to bad bodybuilders aren't making more money. Do they even have insurance? The winner of the Mr. Olympia should make a million bucks. They should take another mil and split it up between the other 10 places. Give the 202 guys some more money.

It has less importance than cockfighting.  Even the Feds don't waste their time.

200.000 $$ for winning the Mr O,

25.000 $$ TOTAL for 202 class?

200.000 doesn't pay Jay's drug and food expenses for 3 months, LOL.

how is something like the IFBB still running? it is the only sport where literally EVERY COMPETITOR is sticking a needle in their ass 2x a day 4 times a week!

Yeah, but when you have FBI agents being busted for steriods, and the DEA investigatiing Victor Conte and his relationship with PEDs, bers, and Olympic athletes...you see the writing on the wall...

These guys deal drugs and do naked handstands in hotel rooms when they do have money coming in from contests. Can you imagine what they would do if that income was taken away?
