Yeah, Craig and I have battled on the boards.
But this is something way bigger than he or Kelly or the horrible crime. This comes down to fairness in media coverage, and the negative effect upon this sport that a steroid/supplement bash parade would cause.
As something gets banned here, email it to me and I'll share it with a disclaimer.

well, at this point, more of my business comes from local sources than anything online. Getbig clients give plenty of small business referrals, but I only do a few major IFBB and NPC names.
I'm worried about the smaller shows losing cash when the supp companies take a hit over the bad press and political overreaction.

yeah, i caught the tail end of the titus posting here... but I am more concerned with how the sport we follow could be negatively impacted by a potentially big trial.
Say Craig chooses to use the steroid defense. Every man for himself, he just might.
LV and CA lawmakers feel more public pressure as the case hits CourtTV and ESPN.
Legislation over the next six months bans creatine sales to youths under 18.
Supplement industry takes a financial hit. Now they can afford less money to give to pro shows and for magazine ads.
Less shows and ads mean leass sales. The death spiral has just begun. Fixed costs remain but sales drop drastically. Supplement prices go up to cover the losses, causing MORE lost sales.
Suddenly, some wacky governor agrees (to save his political career) to BAN creatine in his state. Other states follow. Supplement companies file ch. 13. No more ads in MD/Flex means no more MD and Flex.
BBing shows start to be cancelled. Muscle magazines start to get thinner and with less coverage.
The sport is dead in five years.
See why I'm concerned? I'm a bigger picture guy, and I'm not the biggest titus fan in the world. but if this situation goes unchecked and unfairly covered in the media, BBing could take a potentially fatal hit.

Free Craig Titus? Fucking hell - if he's guilty, the fucker, much like the unfortunate victim, deserves to burn. Any concerns anyone has with BB getting a fair representation are largely (a) immaterial, but (b) nothing to do with Titus' freedom.
An impartial web site that always looks to provide 'the truth' in bodybuilding - or rather, the facts as known, and valid opinions from all sides - could feature this and would make far more sense.
If Titus is innocent, that's one thing; if guilty, who gives a shit?

Once they arrive, they can see ALL points of view on the affair, and make decisions based upon all of the information, not some skewed opinionated source.

I respect your point of view, but I think attacks on steroids will trickel down to supplements. The supplement industry keeps the BBing industry alive.
I can't really see the story being about how protein shakes or creatine cause homicidal rage. I know that's only 2 supps in a huge range of it, but, if weed is touted as a "gateway" drug, injecting steroids is going to be a bigger story than drinking shakes. Besides, their well reported lifestyles and the reports of syringes and drugs. Don't see the avoidance of the steroid end of it. That part of bodybuilding, pro bodybuilding, is probably going to be a big part of the trial if the judge allows it. It's a sad story for all the parties direectly involved. In the end a person was murdered and if there are steroids, drug use, drug dealing involved, let's hear it. Maybe in the future, some of the pro's, and others out there will learn something from it. If they don't we'll hear more and more stories like this. If anyone thinks drugs aren't a dead end, look at this case.
