Melrose beats 90210 hands down.

90210 was cheesy.

Melrose was mature and real.

Melrose had a better cast and a better script, it was for grown ups.

Heather Locklear was hot. "Michael" was a great bad guy. Kimberly was one of the greatest villains ever in soap.

90210 had 10 glorious seasons a spinoff and a remake.

Maybe 90210 didn't know when to quit? Melrose was there for 7 solid seasons.

And the concept of 90210 is better suited for a remake as it's the classic kids in school-theme. The first episode of the remake had every cliche in the book:

- new kids in school get bullied CHECK
- fights on the sports team CHECK
- kids doing drugs CHECK
- new kid gets part in musical and probably gets other girl kicked off CHECK
- kid cheats on test and get caught CHECK
- kid get sents to principal office CHECK

Give me a fuckn break. I can't wait for the episode when some guy in the lockerroom sells steroids

Melrose Place on the other hand took place in the real world, with a great variety of real life situations, not just some brats in a school.
