- $15,000 in student loans and two years until graduation
- No food because I can’t afford it
- Oatmeal and peanut butter for the past month
- No car, can’t afford insurance with no job
- Wisdom teeth should have been removed three years ago, didn’t have insurance now that I do I still can’t afford the procedure

My Sis and BIL work at a well know university and barely work part time and get huge salaries! 

I can only think of the morons going in to hovk to pay for this nonsense and just shake my head. 

No shit.  Couple that with the "party atmosphere" and the mini-city of a college featuring Sports Teams, Food Courts, All you can eat buffets, Swimming Pools.....I`m just waiting for the day they put slot machines, water slides and go cart tracks in each University, you know, "to help the learning environment".

Its all becoming a giant theme park for fat asses and people wonder why the United States is being laughed at abroad.

Over 6 yrs ago one of my engineering professors told us he made $180k working part time for a public university. He taught maybe 3 hours for 2days/wk. That's ridiculous...

Then, he would get what is known as Involuntary Separation Pay (ISP), provided he requested to be part of the Army National Guard. He gets the money (10% of his monthly base pay multplied by the number of months he served, minus taxes, in one lump sum), whether the Guard accepts him or not. But, he can't turn it down, once offered; or he forfeits ISP.

His healthcare is free for at least six months after he leaves, with the option of paying around $500/year to be on that insurance afterward (Tricare Prime)....PROVIDED he lives near a military clinic or hospital.

And, unless he was dishonorably discharged, he should have his GI Bill to go to college.

I'm only guessing at his situation.  Yes, the healthcare option is there but it doesn't exactly provide the best coverage.  The only thing I use is the life insurance benefits and have a high deductible health plan which doesn't cost much and use generic prescriptions.  But the GI Bill is only for people who have honorable discharges and completed their service term in full. 

I think that the majority of these folks are at fault for their situation...but you have to give servicemen the benefit of the doubt...there's a lot of shit that happens that just isn't fair
