if there were no consumers, there would be no demand.

easy as.

just euthanize the users and the problem is solved.

and the dealers, force them to overdose on their own stuff.

this is the solution, no more fucking about.

and what about the main player in this game, government? :D

I am shocked

sarcasm noted.

drug industry is too big, too profitable and many wealthy legitimate establishments and agencies are entrenched in the business of drug trafficking which makes it tough to obliterate.

There's nothing wrong about buying, using or selling drugs. It's your choice.

Even that news article is "scripted" by the government.       Listen to the PR BS that reporter is saying - basically "softening" everything down.   Bad 'cos helps "taliban", not bad c'os it's drugs.  Don't want to stop it because it will make the farmers turn to the Taliban.  BLAH BLAH BLAH.

get the people off of dope and make them productive members of society...
Instead of zombies...oh, I forgot, people who are doped up and or addicted are people who one can easily pass laws, and support the Judicial system with their arrests and crimes. So, the government gets a two-fer.
I guess they are being doubly productive.

Where do you think big pharmaceutical companies get cheap raw ingredients for their painkillers such as oxycodone, etc.

Illicit heroin is just a small part of the market. It is dwarfed by the legal prescription painkillers market.

This.

Illicit drug use has fallen throughout the US since the late 70s. However, what percentahe of the populace uses and abuses prescription meds now?

How could they? Heroin, crack, meth, how can you possibly regulate the sale of such drugs? The FDA would have to give their stamp of approval. They certainly couldn't endorse something so dangerous.

In this day and age the US have the technology (satellites) to cover the whole fucking planet, dont tell me they cant map a desert area and find all the "illegal" plantations there in a week and destroy them all from the air in a matter of days.

Which leaves us with...they still exist cause they simply allow them to exist.
