Watching this is not the ssme as Watching them stand next to wach other. It can't really be reproduced. The scale is off by a fair margin to Dorians favor.
This is probably close to Dorians all time best look. Rons gyno is pretty noticeable.

Interesting comparison. Of note is the fact they weighed about the same there...Ronnie was just shy of 250, and after a stomach bug, Yates dropped from 260ish at the Olympia down to 249-250 by the end of the GP tour.

Just watched. Insane. Hard to say who would win at their all time best. Id lean towards Ronnie but that vid of Dorian befs the question.

What is scary about Dorian’s mass in 1994 is the fact that he didn’t train his upper body in the 2nd half of July, the entire month of August, or early September due to his bicep tear (in early July)

When 96?
I went to that show. Dorian was a tad depleted. When they turned around, it wasn't even close. An adult next to a child.
93 Dorian would dwarf a Ronnie in the 240lb range. And I thought Ronnie was amazing.

nobody made him look small, maybe gunther in 2002 when ronnie was shriveled up but paul dillet and lou made dorian look small in some poses back in 93

I think 93 Dorian outweighed 98 Ronnie by 13 lbs.......what I'm saying is any comparison videos will not do it justice, and it's all spec who the judges would choose on that day.....both were insane.

Tbh they are both great, it's very close

It's a really tough call. They balance each other out pretty well.
Ronnie's chest and legs are better than Yates.
Ronnie had those insane arms. But truthfully Dorian's triceps and forearms are better. Just like his calves are better.
The one clear strength Dorian crushed people with was his back. Well nobody's crushing Ronnie's back.
Ronnie had a tighter waist relatively speaking- and better V taper but Dorian has that rock hard conditioning.
When Dorian came on the scene he initially blew everyone away. Came out of nowhere to set a new standard over all those that came before him. Then after Dorian, Ronnie came along and blew away everyone that came before him.
Dorian's build seemed impossible to achieve but Ronnie was actually hard to even believe. Coleman was quite literally unbelievable.

i'd give shawn ray's knotted calves the edge over ronnie. ronnie is 8 and yates is 6 for a reason.

IMO it's close, they are both the goat, Ronnie had better arms and chest while Dorian had a better back and better rock hard conditioning, Ronnie had larger thighs but it was close, Dorian's thighs were more aesthetic though, Dorian had better calves, also better forearms and abs

Peak Ronnie is a better bodybuilder. If he had gone into maintenance mode like Phil Health around 2006 vs. tearing muscles still lifting heavy he would have been 10 times MrO. Yates was just falling apart after 4.
