peanut butter when you are dieting?

can any1 tell me.. why peanut butter must be taken when you are on diets? many of em told me.. i should consume peanut butter tog wit my meals.. but i dont know why..

probaly for extra fats, im assuming they are assuming your on a low carb diet and in change are increasing your healthy fats for the missing carb calories? possibility

Tell ya what is actually good, mix 3/4 tsp peanut butter with a scoop of protein powder and add a touch of water to help mix. I ate that all the time if i needed a break from just a plain shake :), tastes great too ;D.

Peanut Butter is "allowed" in certain cases within reason, but definitely not "required".

If you're "dieting" and having more than one tablespoon of peanut butter a day, there's something seriously wrong.

Yeah very true, thats what i was saying here, as long as you are only having a touch i think its ok, just helps to kill the hunger pains in a fix ;).

I use it to add some healthy fats, and it really helps quench cravings.  Just dont take in too much of it......Tablespoon or two between meals. 

I also use it to mix in with protien shakes and oatmeal, adds some much needed flavor.

not to step on peoples toes here, because everyone is entitled to their opinions but

Peanut butter makes you fat!  It really does. I dont see the need for it at all unless you are seriously eating low carbs, and are in great shape and way ahead of schedule.

i was eating a bit here and there to try to slow myself down, because i was way ahead of schedule. Or I eat it as a cheat. When you first start dieting and are trying to lose weight and get lean, avoid it! my opinion only guys, alex a

neither of you guys are natural.

fats are completely useless for someone injecting testosterone into their bodies. for you guys...protein and carbs are all you should be intaking. and with any amount of significant carb intake, nobody should have high fat intake. BUT, fats are just a just as good source of energy calories as carbs are...   and in a natural bodybuilder going high protein/high fat will be MUCH BETTER than going high protein/high carb. do you know why? because fats promote and are essential for  TESTOSTERONE PRODUCTION..., without fats in the diet...a natty bb'r wont have adequate levels of testpsterone...  increasing fat intake will increase testosterone, which increases protein synthesis, decreases body fat, and the fat will decrease appetite.  

but your right, eating fats means you cant eat carbs; and conversly..eating carbs means you cant eat fats...certain veggies like broccoli and cauliflower and green beans are okay for high fat diets, and certain fats like omega 3's and cla are okay for high carb... any release of insulin will cause the body to immidietly shut down fat utilization and thus start to store all of that ingested fat as adipose tissue untill the insulin levels go back down to NORMAL. so carbs and fats dont mix.   but fats by themselves are much better than carbs by themselves. for a NATURAL, that is.


for a NATURAL bodybuilder... its best to eat a NATURAL diet for a NATURAL human being.  (meat, eggs, veggies).   for a SYNTHETIC bodybuilder...its best to to SYNTHETIC foods...because your a SYNTHETIC human being (fat free proteins and processed carbs like oatmeal and brown rice and wheat bread)

Your brain needs carbs, maybe that's what's wrong with you..  I've been in the game a long time and I won't even get into how wrong you are.  Not worth my time, so keep eating those fats and also keep posting those pics of yours..

How would you know what a natural bodybuilder or a LOL, "syntentic person" needs anyway? Do you even know what Organic Chemistry is?? That is a subject you might want to look into.
