Joe Biden Is Too Old to Be President Again

I can’t help feeling very sorry for Joe Biden. He’s wanted to be president for most of his life, first running 34 years ago. Had his son Beau not died in 2015, Biden might have entered the Democratic primary then; as vice president he would have been a favorite and likely would have beaten Donald Trump.

By the time he finally achieved the office he longed for, he was far past his prime. Trump had left the country in ruins, its institutions collapsing, much of the population gripped by furious delusions, and millions traumatized by the pandemic. Biden was elected to bring back a normality that now appears to be gone for good.

Many of the crises driving down Biden’s approval numbers are not his fault. If an 8.6 percent inflation rate were due to his policies, then it’s hard to see why the rate is even higher in Britain, at 9.1 percent, or why it’s 7.9 percent in Germany. The mulish attachment to the filibuster by Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema makes most legislation impossible. Even if Biden had more activist inclinations, there’s not much he could do about the Supreme Court’s cruel reversal of Roe v. Wade or the increasing tempo of massacres that punctuate American life. Nevertheless, I hope he doesn’t run again, because he’s too old.

Now, I didn’t want Biden to be the Democratic nominee in 2020, partly for ideological reasons but even more because he seemed too worn-out and unfocused. In retrospect, however, given the way Republicans outperformed expectations, Biden may have been the only one of the major candidates who could have beaten Trump; voters showed no appetite for sweeping progressive change.

Poll: Just 18% of Americans say Biden should run for reelection in 2024 — a new low

Just 18% of Americans say President Biden should run for reelection in 2024, according to the latest Yahoo News/YouGov poll — the lowest number to date. Nearly two-thirds (64%) say he should bow out.

And for the first time, more Democrats now say Biden should pass on a second term (41%) than say he should pursue one (35%).

No U.S. president has declined to run for reelection since Democrat Lyndon B. Johnson in 1968, and Biden has repeatedly insisted — both publicly and privately — that he will compete for a second term.

But given his advanced age (he’ll turn 82 shortly after the next presidential election) and low approval ratings, several national outlets have published recent stories about Democrats’ emerging interest in some sort of plan B.

Biden DOJ Rolls Out ‘Reproductive Rights Task Force’

On Thursday, Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the creation of a new task force aimed at increasing access to abortion and other so-called “reproductive rights” following the historic Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.



According to CNN, the “Reproductive Rights Task Force” will be chaired by Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta. The group’s purpose will be to “monitor and evaluate” abortion laws at the state and local levels, including bans on abortion-inducing drugs and laws imposing criminal charges for those who aid and abet abortions.

“The Court abandoned 50 years of precedent and took away the constitutional right to abortion, preventing women all over the country from being able to make critical decisions about our bodies, our health, and our futures,” Gupta said in a statement, falsely equating abortion with constitutional rights. “The Justice Department is committed to protecting access to reproductive services.”

Biden had previously signed an executive order that intended to use the full force of the federal government to protect abortion. Following the announcement, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued its own guidance for healthcare providers with regards to abortion.

In his speech, where he frequently slurred his words and made numerous mistakes, Biden specifically called on the DOJ to take action. “Much like they did in the civil rights era,” Biden said, ordering the DOJ “to do something, to do everything in their power to protect these women seeking to invoke their rights.”

However, despite Biden’s latest promises, the White House has rejected some of the most radical proposals from the far-left, including expanding the Supreme Court and using federal lands such as national parks to set up abortion clinics. Biden has called for eliminating the filibuster in order to pass a law that would codify the conditions of Roe v. Wade into federal law.

During one of his very rare press conferences, this time in Israel, Joe Biden reveals that his staff gave him a list of pre-approved reporters to call on.

Joe Biden: “Umm, sure. I-i was given a list, here. Uh… Steve Holland of Reuters.”

Notoriously incompetent, reclusive, and gaff-prone, Joe Biden’s staff has seemingly decided to preemptively perform damage control. By limiting questions only to pre-approved reporters they can avoid Biden having to actually answer any pressing or difficult questions, however this comes at the expense of the free press.

In having Biden only call on the soft-ball reporters, the rights of the people to have answers and the rights of the press to ask them are being trampled on.

Joe Biden has conducted very few interviews and press conferences since taking office. His White House Press Secretary picks have played defense for him hard, denying and spinning everything while lying through their teeth at every turn.

As for Biden himself, now his handlers have decided who is allowed to ask him questions–so we will never get to see him have to answer questions about the damage he has done to this country.

However, admitting that he has a list in front of the whole world is also extraordinarily embarrassing to the United States.

This is the man with “81 million votes.”

Biden made a commitment to provide hundeds of millions in taxpayer dollars to the Palestinians at a meeting with Palestinian authority leader Mahmoud Abbas on his Israel trip while reaffirming his commitment to the “two-state solution.”

Joe Biden’s Approval Falls Below 30% in Majority of States

President Joe Biden’s approval has fallen below 30 percent in the majority of states, a Civiqs survey shows.

According to the survey, Biden has a net negative approval in every single state with the exception of Hawaii (47 percent approve, 40 percent disapprove) and Vermont (40 percent approve and 40 percent disapprove).

 What is more, Biden’s approval has fallen below 30 percent in the majority of states, less than two years into his presidency.

As of Friday, 28 states have the president with an approval below 30 percent:

Joe Biden Risks Impeachment if Democrats Lose Both House and Senate

Democrats could be facing major losses in this year's crucial midterm elections as Republicans aim to take back the House of Representatives and the Senate in November.

If President Joe Biden's party loses control of both chambers, he could end up facing impeachment after several Republicans indicated that GOP majorities would move in that direction.

In January, Republican Senator Ted Cruz said there would be "multiple grounds" for impeaching Biden, while in April, Republican Representative Ken Buck told a virtual meeting that the House Judiciary Committee would "hold the hearings to determine whether impeachment is appropriate. We'll vote on impeachment. And then it will be presented to the full House."

A University of Massachusetts Amherst poll published in May found that 68 percent of Republicans and 66 percent of conservatives wanted Biden to be impeached if Republicans take the House, while 53 percent of Republicans believed a GOP-led House would impeach him.

Articles of impeachment can be passed by a simple majority vote in the House but a president can only be removed by a two-thirds majority vote in the Senate. This has never happened and it appears unlikely Republicans will have the necessary number of seats in 2023.

First lady Jill Biden complained in front of donors in Nantucket on Saturday, while delivering a speech at a fundraiser.

Speaking about her husband, President Joe Biden, the first lady appeared saddened by what was happening to the world during his presidency.

“He had so many hopes and plans for things he wanted to do, but every time you turned around, he had to address the problems of the moment,” she said.

Biden spoke to about two dozen guests at the fundraiser for the Democrat National Committee, setting aside her prepared remarks for a frank discussion.

“He’s just had some many things thrown his way,” she said. “Who would have ever thought about what happened … Roe v Wade? Well, maybe we saw it coming,but still we didn’t believe it.”

She also said Biden was unable to predict a war in Ukraine.

“The gun violence in this country is absolutely appalling,” she continued. “We didn’t see the war in Ukraine coming.”

President Biden accused Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister of lying when he contradicted the president’s claim that had raised the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi with Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman and bristled when asked about the fist bump with the royal.

Returning early Sunday morning to the White House after his four-day trip to Israel and Saudi Arabia, Biden was asked whether A​del al-Jubier was telling the truth when he said he didn’t hear the president bring up Khashoggi with the prince, commonly referred to as MBS.

“No,” Biden responded bluntly, according to a White House pool report.

The president, moments after arriving on Marine One, was also asked if he regretted the controversial fist bump with MBS.

“Why don’t you guys talk about something that matters? I’m happy to answer a question that matters,” he shot back.
