The reporter legitimately could not provide one concrete example or back up any of his talking points.

It's indicative of how these talking points trend freely on social media, yet when questioned, they are easily exposed.

Had he been good at his job, he'd be prepared to have context for his statements.

This "journalist" was quite tame, maybe he was just being Canadian, but people of his ilk in the US are not used to being questioned on these ridiculous assertions and hypotheticals and they immediately go on the offensive such as "why do you hate [insert fringe minority group]" or "that is what [insert extremist group] say" to derail the conversation and make the other side either go defensive and apologize or enrage them.
