You have to have some serious disposable income to afford a Breitling.

I bought these between 2000 and 2010.  now they look small compared to the 'wristclocks' that people wear now

Other than the Deepsea at 44mm Rolex has stayed conservative size wise.

Isn't the Deep Sea 51MM? Heard you have to special order it too.

I believe there is a larger 'President' now too, but I doubt they would give much of a trade in. :-\

It's the Deep Sea Challenge not the Sea Dweller. Thing's huge think it retails for around 40K if you can get one. Here it is next the  Sea Dweller.

My buddy wanted to sell me his Day date for 15K. He paid well over 20.

My newest to the collection.

Cant drop the money on a Submariner, so I did the next best thing and got a Tudor Heritage Black Bay.

3k vs 7k...

Also in the collection is an older Panerai "005"

Previous watches include an Omega Planet Ocean, A Rolex Milgauss for a VERY short period, and a very vintage Omega Seamaster.

Challenge was an experimental watch that Rolex sent down with the Challenger.   Deepsea is not a Sea Dweller.

Yep I know that. Said you can order once but have to be some kind of VIP buyer.

Certainly looks like a Sea Dweller. Like it's big brother.  ;D Actually Deep Sea and Sea Dweller are one in the same.

Sea Dwellers are very cool. I used to love GMT's but I cant get passed the font on the bezel insert anymore.

Vintage Rolex will be my hobby once I am very rich.

15 would be a great deal if it is the quick set with solid links.   I had to get a few extra links because of my fat wrists and they were around $650 each.

It was. He showed me the receipt it retailed for 24K. His mom worked for the owner so he got it for around 22? I would never wear a gold watch but I was very tempted to buy it.

Grandpa had an old pocket watch that he got from a train conductor who operated the rail line between Normandy and Versailles before the big war.  I still remember when Grandpa asked us to fetch it from his pockets.  It was always a game and the lucky one got to get it out of his pants.

Got my son a wind up pocket watch for his communion. Only gold plated (the fuck I was spending a few thousand on that) but it is something he will appreciate and remember when older, unlike the other toys which or cash which had no thought to them.

Fucking hate how spoiled kids are now (not the kid's fault) - it means that no toy or present stands out as they get them week in week out without earning it or any thoughtful present drifts into a faded memory with 100 other toys bought.
