Because its bad for the sport... thats why.  If bodybuilding wants to be supported more, they need to start looking toward what the general public thinks of these kind of physiques.  Most people think it is pretty grotesque what male bodybuilders look like these days, but for a woman to look the same way is going completely overboard and will NEVER EVER have any public support for turning women into men.  Men don't inject estrogen into their systems to become more feminine in this sport, they inject male hormones.  Its completely backwards in the publics preception for a woman to inject male hormones to become more masculine just for the sake of adding more muscle.  Female BBing has to go.  Its bad for the sport.  Nobody wants to see a 200+ pound shredded shim.  NOBODY.

The point, my ignorant friend, is that women's bodybuilding has propably brought more heat on the sport than anything.  If you want that to keep going on and have all professional bodybuilding organizations be forced to dispand because of the GENERAL PUBLICS OPINION,  keep going on your little crusade.  Like it or not, the general public decides the future of this sport.

When I went to the Arnold I was quite surprised how small the women bodybuilders were (males too) the magazines make them appear so much bigger. If you were to check weigh-ins of the hvy wts (females) they usually come in between 160-170...far cry from 200lbs. 99% of the women on stage were attractive, feminine, graceful and poised. I got a chance to speak to Heather Policky, Kim Perez, Toni Norman, Ann Riviccio, Colette Nelson, Betty Pariso, Yaxine, Lisa Aukland and a few others; none sounded like or looked liked men. The ladies evening show had far better posing than the men and just as many in attendance.

I'd like to see bodybuilding get more attention from the public also, however if it means that the sport will come under the gun like baseball and football for testing I'd rather it stay like it is. Leg day in the off season is a bich without deca.

Females are not bad for the sport, athletes that abuse drugs, athletes that kill people and ignorant people on boards are bad for the sport (males and females included).

Well said Az.  Progress is being made in the right direction in that regard... its all these women "mass monsters" who abuse drugs running around that is drawing all of the negative attention to womens bodybuilding.

Ask Lee Priest if he thinks that the Olympia pays as much as other sports... he'll have a great answer for ya.  Thats why he started racing cars... because even that pays better than the Olympia.  Yeah the O pays more than it did years ago, but everybody in the world has a larger bank account than years ago too, dipshit.  The money has gone up with the times... not the popularity.
