Great post and the mental image of you and your dad going to school in that Mustang, made me smile.
My 2011 GT V-8 wasn't nearly as fast or powerful as your dad's, but it was FUN to drive.
I loved cruising around in nice weather with the top down.
Plus, I actually felt  the broom-broom sound as it idled when stopped.

Occasionally , on weekend  nights, I'd floor mine driving down the on-ramp  into the  highway.
The feeling of raw power and acceleration was exhilarating.
It got up to 85-90 mph pretty quick and for safety reasons, I took my foot off the gas then.

In keeping with this "remembering Pellius" thread, I'd like to think he'd be pleasantly surprised that
I enjoyed driving my Mustang like that. I suspect he'd think it was really cool that your dad took you to school in his.

I wanted to give  my condolences for Pellius BUT made an "off topic " post related to me.

Now, since we all agree on my fuk up, let's get the focus back on Pellius.
At least he had enough sense  to live in a Hawaiian paradise .

Pellius was quite a different person from Phillip Gilkey. The internet guy was argumentative, sometimes nasty and downright persistent. Both Josh and Pellius stated that they were two very different personalities. Phillip was soft spoken and more or less kept to himself. Pellius was an internet warrior and woe to anyone unprepared to debate things fully. Pellius would target some people and give them hell. Prime was one such target. I pointed out that his treatment of Prime wasn't called for and he stepped away from that nastiness.

Pellius was well-informed about training, martial arts and many other things. He established long ago that no one was going to cause him to leave the place. That amazed me at times because he occasionally said things that came back to bite him. Some people would collect those points and give Pellius a good debate. Never did he yield no matter how forceful the arguments. When it is all said and done he will be remembered as one of the leading characters and essentially a fair-minded individual. He was very protective of friends and family and that is partly why no one can communicate to find out more about what happened.

they dont perform autopsies routinely, and there's little reason to request one privately.  They really manhandle the corpse and it's like $5000

I really don't think he's getting one unless you have some evidence to the contrary?

I spoke with Ernie Santiago last nite and he was not aware of anything regarding Pellius, but did mention a couple of Hawaii BB related deaths due to Covid.

He also mentioned that the big gyms on Oahu now belong to B.J. Penn who may be able to provide  further information providing that  GetBigger can call with accurate info such as Pellius' full name and date of death.

I only made a call to 24 Hr Fitness with negative results, but I tend to think that one of the B.J. Penn gyms was more likely to be the choice of Pellius.

His name was Philip Michael Gilkey. According to the Honolulu Medical Examiner's office, he died on October 31st. I did not ask for the cause of death. An autopsy report from them can take up to 16 weeks to complete. Philip was one of seven children. He was preceded in death by both his mother and later his father.
