Disneyland and food
« on: February 17, 2009, 01:21:19 PM »

Can we take our own food inside the park?  I know I can get grilled chicken inside, but I eat a lot and I'm a cheap bastard.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure the food at Disneyland also contains protein carbs and fats.

Seems like you need to cut down on the "cut loose" thing for a while.

Yes, I believe you can. But you have to eat it in certain designated areas. And I don't blame you.....

1) there food isn't very good (they have improved, believe it or not)

2) they are way overpriced

3) I don't recall them having anything "healthy" or their menus

What I would do, is like QO said, let loose for a day man. Enjoy yourself.

Pizza place by Space Mountain - 2 adults, 2 kids = $70.

A steal.

Thanks, Gordiano.  I'm going to carry in a couple of meals each day and eat a couple of their offerings.

Oh it's great....$4 bottle water/soda. $3 apple. $15-20 plate of shitty food. Then of course a single thread T-shirt made in china (for $.03), $50.

between the parking structure and the main entrance of Disneyland and California Adventure is Downtown Disney, with many different restaurants.   still expensive, but you can find healthy food.   And just outside the gate to the park are lockers that you can rent for the day.  you can store your protein drinks there.  you can leave and enter the park as much as you want.

even when it's 80 degrees, we always bring jackets and store them in the locker, as it gets chilly as soon as the sun goes down.

Yeah, that's always been my only complaint about theme parks, is the lousy food.  :-\

But I have gone to disneyland while dieting, twice.  I just have all my meals packed in those ziplock tupperware containers and have them stacked in a backpack.  Security goes through your bag, but they don't care if you have food.  I even went in with a gallon of ICED TEA crystal light, which I started to worry that they wouldn't allow, cause it did look like alcohol.  And the guy asked what it was, I just told him crystal light and he was like, okay that's fine.

But you still have to get a couple of Churros, that's a given ;)
just not good enough
