Stuff like this happened all the time during the cold war. One of the more frequent things was for russia to send a pair of bear bombers north to south down the eastern seaboard causing us to scramble our jets on hot-pads. Similar things still happen today with China and NK out in the open ocean and on land.
Its not that big of a deal.
Unless of course you are obsessed with OB 24/7

My old man flew B-52 and did a year and ahalf flying out of Elmendorf in Alaska practices for the grand tour of Russian to make it glow. They'd always fly into Russian Airspace and get a friendly visit from the shitbags reminding them where they were and to please leave.

There is just no reason for us to be involved in this militarily. None at all. Much less sending US navy ships into the black sea..

Depends on where in the Chesapeake they send them. There is a universal 12 mile sea zone around each country. Get within 12 miles with a ship or a plane and you are considered to be in their country. The black sea isn't part of Russia. much of the Chesapeake is on our country.
But it totally makes sense, russia is just basically saying back off bitches.

Tell ya guys this, when things are tense and on alert, a military plane or one that doesn't have flight plan filed and have a transponder crosses into Russian or Ukrainian airspace it gets shot down.
