It's so crazy how delusional people are, I don't even get upset anymore.
We have a fat porker at work who tells everyone proudly how he starts jogging now to drop weight and gets in great beach shape. When you tell him he has to get to the gym to shape his body it comes the typical "You think I wanna look like Schwarzenegger?" bullshit. I just shake my head in disbelief after that and go the other way before getting into any kind of discussion lol.
Most people really think a lil jogging = -> the ripped Ryan Reynolds body; a lil weight training = -> Arnolds body.
Unbelieveable. That's like saying "no, I don't play soccer with my buddies this weekend, you think I wanna become the next Ronaldinho?"
Thats why i quit being a PT, everysingle day i had out of shape 20/30 y/o women or worse, MEN, telling me "i dont want to get too big" . they also were the ones that didnt last long in their new endaveours, those ones were the most delusional and prone to quit faster than other more down to earth clients.
Most of em wouldnt come back to the gym after one week.
Most clients nowadays are so brainwashed by what they see on TV you have to waste almost half the time spent with em detroying methodically their stupid beliefs first.
