CNN has earned my utmost respect.
« on: January 18, 2010, 06:23:56 PM »
I have to say, Sanjay Gupta and Anderson Cooper have given me a very deep respect for CNN.

They have been doing great work and putting themselves in hrms way.

Check out this crazy vid of AC saving a kid hit with a rock to the head.

I agree. I've been reading and/or watching what AC and Gupta have been uploading and it's pretty impressive work.

I remember watching Anderson Cooper on Channel 1 in high school.
He was always like that.

One time the show did a Q&A with the reporters.
Lots of students wrote in asking why Anderson was always given the dangerous/crazy assignments.
He replied that he volunteered for those jobs because he likes them.

That’s where he wants to be.
And he's very good at what he does.

That Dr. Gupta really deserves to be commended for his work.

I'm not familiar with his reporting.
I don't watch CNN more than a few minutes/year.

Wasn't there talk of him being nominated for surgeon general last year? Not sure on it, though.

Gupta was aboard a US Navy ship during OIF 1...from wiki.

In 2003, Gupta traveled to Iraq to cover the medical aspects of 2003 invasion of Iraq. While in Iraq, Gupta performed emergency surgery on both U.S. soldiers and Iraqi civilians. Gupta was embedded with a Navy medical unit at the time. A Marine named Jesus Vidana suffered a severe head injury, and the Marines asked for Gupta's assistance because of his background in neurosurgery. Vidana survived and was sent back to the United States for rehabilitation.

He took shit for that from the leftwing douchbags. He also want after fatso Moore after sicko came out. He's a good guy.

I am so sick of the "progressives".  Why dont they just admit they are communists and get it over with.

As far as CNN - AC really did an amazing job saving that kid.
