Now there's a bold prediction. ::) Christ dude...if they can't finally win the division with Peyton outta of the way, they're never going to win it.
Manning is without a doubt the most valuable player in the NFL to his team. Without him, the Colts are subpar, at best.

lol, liking the disclaimer.
Good job.
We got our collective asses handed to us. I'm not even sure we were playing football.
Ah...the sting of defeat.

I wish I would have been able to see that game, it sounded like the ravens def went off.
p.s. I have the ravens d and ray rice in one of my fantasy leagues ;)

What do you expect, Peyton is the best at what he does, and without him running that offense and the way the Colts have been used to it being run for so long, did you think they'd be even close to where they were?
They're going to have to completely redesign nearly every aspect of how they run the game.

Consider today as a mild preview of what's headed your way next week, Tony. Gonna suck losing twice in a row.

Wade Phillips as the D-coordinator has made all the difference in the world for the Texans.
-
I think we made alot of good pick ups in the off season too, manning, joseph, jj watt. but I like the 3-4 so far but I think we could rush a little more as we dont seem to get as much pressure on the qb as I would like...CB or safety rushing change it up a little bit.
I started to notice last season and im picking up on it more and more now...Schaub is not a pressure qb.

I use to train with one of your ex Tight ends. ;) He is a good dude and one of your earliest draft pics. 8) He was a decent player for the Texans but he is now out of the league.

Houston -3.5
I got offered tickets to go to the game but unfortunately I have to study and have pink eye in both freaking eyes.
I would love to be there to see rapesy go down though ;D

Man....I really do hope the Texans didn't just lose Andre Johnson for the year. He fell to the turf untouched and grabbed under his knee. Didn't look good but I hope he didn't tear anything in his knee.
Johnson is a stand up guy and well respected so I hope it's not serious.

me too, he was just in the news for all the work he does with local elementry schools here in houston. He gave some tickets out for kids with good grades and attendance, he really does seem like he is a good guy.
He was able to walk off without help so hopefully it isnt anything to serious.

nobody is treating it as the superbowl ppl are excited b/c we did DOMINATE a supposedly good team, the defense specifically. I agree they shouldnt get to excited b/c like I said before the game the steelers offense is nothing special.

You're such a fucking idiot sometimes. As logical and factual as you can be, you also say some seriously dumb shit. Yeah, Earl....Ray Lewis is just another Junior Seau. What does that even mean, given that Seau himself potentially is a possilbe hall of famer?
-

Why is it if someone wins, then they talk all kinds of shit, but if their team loses, then it's "just one loss".
By the way, Pittsburgh is 2-2 and 1-2 on the road... That's not exactly a good way to start the season when last year they started 4-0 I think.
It's a big deal to Houston fans because the team has been working for YEARS to try to get out of the cellar and they seem to finally be doing it.
It's a big deal to the franchise.

why don't you tell me? you guys talked a lot of shit after the ravens fiasco then had nothing to say when the steelers shut out the seahawks
now you are all back to talking after a 7 point loss to a texans team on the rise
i don't expect the steelers to be super bowl contenders for at least the next 2 years, at least 5 key players are now washed up, the o line can't stay healthy and those guys weren't great to begin with

The Steelers are 2-2 and it just turned October. As a Ravens fan, I find it comical that everyone is writing off the Steelers.
The Steelers have had a lot of success and a lot of lucky breaks in the last few years. Everyone was tired of seeing them win and now they're getting shit on.

I'm not shitting on them, I just like bustin Earl's balls... I am perfectly ok if they win out the rest of the season.
It doesn't impact my enjoyment of football in a negative way what so ever.

thats fine he can sensationalize it, I and anyone talk to or listen to on sports radio here in Houston knows the score. Its a good win for us even though the steelers arent really the steelers this year. Their defense is still decent and we played real well against it, pretty much nullifying polumalu, knocking harrison out for a few quarters and for the most part dominating up front.
Defense looked great but again the steelers offense is not very good so we cant really go to much off of that.
Im really looking forward to the ravens game, hopefully we can get some pay back for last seasons shitty ending.

Good luck!

Agreed, right now I think they are the best team on our schedule and they have shown they are going to be real tough this year.
We almost beat them last season but schaub melted down, he isnt good under pressure or in 2 min drills.
I think it will be a pretty good and hard fought game.

It seems like we play you guys every year now. But without AJ in your lineup, it's going to be tough to win on the road. Foster's a beast, no doubt and the Ravens will have a tough time containing him. But I love how aggressive the Raven's defense is playing right now.
We have a lot of players coming back from injury for the Texans game. Lee Evans and rookie Jimmy Smith return, along with Chris Carr and KR David Reed.

agreed, with daniels now healthy and walters coming back hopefully we will be able to stay somewhat potent in the passing game.
I freaking dislike jacoby jones and he isnt a very good number 2 receiver let alone a number one, I wonder what T.O. is doing or Randy Moss?
I knew we should have gone out and gotten another decent receiver in the off season but shiot this blows.
Our O line is playing great right now especially in teh running game. I love your guys defense and how aggressive they are I have them as my fantasy defense and Ray Rice is still a beast.
I think it will be a good game espcially if our defense is as decent as they seem to be.
-
im really curious to see how lee evans helps the offense. I picked him up for my fantasy teams and was disappointed that he was still nagged with injuries.

Looks like the Ravens will play the Texans without arguably their two best players this Sunday.

Gonna be a rough one for sure, I think our defense will still be pretty stout against your offense but iono about our offense, Schaub isnt the kind of qb that can extend plays or does very well when hurried.

lol the raiders had 10 players on the field on the last play of the game. hahahahahahahahaha and still got the pic..hahahahahahah

If Kubiak doesn't put the Texans into the playoffs this year, Kubiak is toast. Injuries or not, your division is severely weakened with no Peyton Manning this season. It's now are never. Personally, I hope the Texans do break through this year.

Jags Suck this year as well.. And Tenn.. they also suck...
This year the AFC South is ripe for the picking for the Texans.
I have some friends on that team that live in Katy. It would be cool to see them go to the playoffs. Andre Johnson and Antonio Smith, they sure deserve it.

agreed, I think mason will help when johnson comes back maybe he will be able to produce more than that crappy jacoby jones. Ive never like him he fumbles doesnt have the best hands and never really produces.
I think if mason can come in and be a safety valve for schaub like walters and daniels that he will be a welcome addition once johnson gets back but he wont make an impact until andre comes back i dont think

Mason is a true possession receiver. Good route runner, not a bad blocker, good hands. At this stage of his career, he's only capable of getting a little separation from DB's. He disappears a lot in games too if he's not involved early in the offense. Not a whole lot of big plays from what I can remember in the 6 years he was here in Baltimore. Just a dependable, stopgap player. He's a competitor and he plays witha lot of fire but he's tempermental too. He was known for acting like whiny bitch during games if things weren't going his way. Still though...there's a reason he's been playing for 15 years and it's not because he sucks. He's just long in the tooth.

I am literally heart broken, Schaub was actually starting to play better in pressure situations and was being more assertive.

anybody that has foster in the fantasy league should look for a trade b/c the opposing teams are just going to stack the box now.

if the playoffs started today the men of steel would be the number 1 seed, i'd say they are in good positioning to make the playoffs especially with an easy schedule
not worried about the ravens losses, they had to win sooner or later and they keep losing to bad teams

Honestly....The Ravens can only lose one more game to stay in the hunt for the AFC North and home playoff game. When I look at the Steelers remaining schedule...they could possibly run the table. Ravens have some tough games remaining with the Bengals 49ers back to back. Gotta win those two for sure.

Don't sell the Texans short. I've only gotten to see them play a couple times, but they have this "will to win" that just might get them through. I'm not thinking Super Bowl, of course, but definitely to the divisional round at least.

not yet, but I was hoping for more than just a playoff birth this season.

yates looked pretty good, I think if he is given a year or two in the system he will be a pretty damn good qb.
Very good pocket prescence and ability to elude defenders.
Johnson going out doesnt help at all though
our defense is still clicking though, we have one of the best if not the best front 4 pass rushing tandem in the league right now and our secondary is 180 degrees from last season.

that was a good win..
Dre.. Dude is an absolute beast... He is by far my favorite player in the NFL...
He is running on half of a hamstring, and still gets 4 catches for 94 yards

yea it was...
you could tell he was a little rusty with a couple dropped passes but he is still a beast of man.
Hopefully he will be 100% by the playoffs

Come playoff time..The texans better be prepared to run Foster and Yates as much as possible. It looks as though both backs might each break 1,000 yards. Just sucks for the Texans that Schaub is out in the one year that Peyton and the Colts are not a factor. I predict the Texans will be playing their first home playoff game at home during the wildcard round. Bold prediction, right? ;D

AFC SOUTH CHAMPS!!!!
you heard it here first ;D ;D ;D
Disclaimer: Nothing in the this thread can be used to degrade the original poster in any manner if the Texans suck yet again.

Killer Cam... That boy is a baller
-
I was at the game I didnt realize how tall cam is. He is a freaking beast size wise, but like all mobile qb's he will have a shelf life. He will get laid out sooner or later and will go the way of vick. I think if he continues to develop as a pocket passer he will be great.
I was impressed with his play

When his mobility declines, I'm really not sure how great of a strictly pocket passer he'll be. Not a Marino, Manning or Brady that's for sure, but he should be a fairly good QB.

I agree but he does have potential, the guy is seriously like 6 inches taller than anyone else on the field.
He is a beast size wise, could see over the tallest linemen.
He made some really good passes against the Texans but I havent really paid much attention to him during the season simply b/c one good year doesnt make a good player.
Tebow is having a better year than him with less talent around him and ppl shit on him.
Cam is prettier to watch but ill take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day of the week.

:-\ They lost to the COLTS :-\ AND the refs.

Texans
Jacksonville and
Tenn...
thats a weak ass division.

LOL a season ago every team in the afc south had a winning record...sorry hoss one year doesnt make your case.
you guys have 4 wins a season written down before you even know your schedule...
the browns and bengals? LMFAO Please
Hey the steelers and the Ravens are two of the best teams in the NFL Im not arguing that but they are paired with two of the worst.

How many of those teams went to the playoffs

its easy to get to the playoffs when you get an automatic 4 wins every season...
so you really only have to win 6-7 games b/c 4 are basically handed to you.
sorry mal if the browns and bengals were as competitve as any of the teams in the afc south the steelers and the ravens wouldnt have as an easy time getting into the play offs and you know it.

yes afc south is weak, proof in that is the texans winning the division ;D
i didn't see the game, just annoyed how people whine about officials when their team gets outplayed

the bengals have been to the playoffs twice since 2005 season
how many times have the jags, texans, and titans been to the playoffs since then?
don't forget the steelers have been to 3 super bowls since 2005, which means they play other afc divisons top teams each year, while the bad teams play the other bad teams

Actually, only two games per year depend on the previous year's results.
Every team plays 6 games in its own division, 4 games against one division of the opposite conference (rotating), and 4 games against one division of the same conference(rotating). The remaining 2 games are against teams from the other two divisions in the same conference who finished in the same place in their respective divisions.

i know
2 more games that on paper should be harder than what the texans deal with on a yearly basis

Valid point. Of course, divisions run in cycles to a point. It's just that the AFC South, this year, the Colts and Jaguars were unusually weak and the Titans aren't particularly great either.
I remember growing up, year after year, the NFC East was a beast. Not so much these days.

You should post up the guy that took down a KR without his helmet...and he went head to head with the KR's helmet even though he wasn't wearing his.

What did we ever do without YouTube?!
I remember being on this site when about 2 guys (Arvilla was one, don't remember the other) were trying to use mediaputfile and filecabi.net for videos the first time.
Thanks Tony. 8)

Bitch, you're on crack, you're comparing the best middle linebacker who ever played to a juice head one year wonder. still mad about Jamie Sharper? Ravens will eat that rookie QB alive at the bank this Sunday.

Talking an awful lot of smack for a team that he never beaten Baltimore. Short term memory loss, I guess. And Schaub was playing in that game earlier this year when you lost, yet again. It will be considered a huge upset if the Ravens lose to Houston. It's not going to happen. It's the Ravens' year.
GO RAVENS!!!

I think the line on the game is 7 or 8 and shrinking.
