That show turned me on to Phil Collins.

It seems like this tune was always playing in the background when Crockett and Tubbs were cruising in their Ferrrari Daytona, standard fare for $800/wk (at that time) vice cops, late at night.

He's ripened well for 70 years old just on hair line alone. Aging just like another pussy slayer, Geraldo Rivera, who is 76years old.

I like him because he knows how to handle a gun and is pro NRA.

Correct

Steve McQueen and Paul Newman had their time, but in the 80s, Cool Don took over.

In the 80s neither of them could compare with The Don.

Ah, come on RBC, with the possible exception of Brad Pitt the other three are solid. Who can forget McQueen in that '68 Mustang 390 GT Fastback and who trained and threw hands for real with Bruce Lee? And Redford and Newman in "The Sting" and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". Forget about it.

What's cool about McQueen? Fuck brah, just his whole life which ended way too early (50 years old). I read a bio on him decades ago and he didn't have it easy. His stepfather would beat on him so bad that he ran away from home at 9 years old! and hung with a street gang doing petty crimes to survive. At 14 years old he joined the circus! His mother got him back and his new stepfather again beat him so bad throwing Steve down a flight of stairs where Steve told him that the next time he laid his hands on him he'd kill him. After that, he was sent to a boy's home for the "incorrigible". At only 16 he held various jobs working in a brothel, carnivals, and Lumber Jack until he joined the Marines at 18. He made a living competing in motorcycling races. After he made his fortune in movies while still in his forties he gave Hollywood the finger and he went back to racing motorcycles. He was also no slouch with race cars and considered going pro. He once made Lee, who was jealous of Steve, pee his pants when Bruce allowed him to drive Lee's brand new Porsche taking it through the winding roads on Mulholland Drive at breakneck speed doing a 180 in the middle of the road. He was also a pilot and flew private planes.

His nickname in Hollywood was King of Cool and I don't think anybody else ever made Bruce Lee cringe in fear.

Johnson was/is no slouch and I'm a big fan but he didn't have the range and diversity in all of life like McQueen nor did he have the obstacles Steve had to overcome. Plus, when push comes to shove McQueen could kick his ass. That's what matters in the end.

Can’t say I’ve ever heard of anyone dying to own an Ebel BTR like Don Johnson wore.

Don Johnson married Melanie Griffith, while Steve McQueen rode into Monterrey on his Triumph and banged 11’s.

Steve my queens sub has nothing on Paul Newman’s Daytona. But I couldn’t care less for either of those two guys.Being a Rolex enthusiast I do love their watches.while I do like some tags, the monaco is one of the ugliest watches ever.

Also I idolize no man so they can all go fuck themselves. That being said don johnson is the coolest.

Time to book those night college reading comprehension classes, buddyboyo. Also George Michael and Don Johnson single handidly brought stubble in to fashion in the 2nd half of the 80s.

95%+ of men have a weak, retruded ,narrow or short jaw and/or weak, retruded, narrow or short chin.I highly doubt you are in the 5% or less that would not benefit from a beard.

Soy boys all have huge beta eyes, high set eye brows, no brow ridge and fat faces, there is no saving that. And like I said 95% of men have chin or jaw defects.Pitt and Tatum are the 5%.In these cases stubble or clean shaven is usually best.Crowe was "hot" to women because his sex appeal was off the charts.

Pussy wrecking machine. This is the kind of man women would melt for in the Miami of the 80s. The hair, outfit, the electric piano with the incessant need to make music alone while watching Miami Vice.

I would beg to differ.

If every man was happy with who and what they are there is no incentive to improve themselves which implies that they think they are perfect the way they are.

One of the biggest motivating factors in a boy's life who would go on to achieve greatness is a role model. Someone they wish to aspire to.

I would beg to differ.

If every man was happy with who and what they are there is no incentive to improve themselves which implies that they think they are perfect the way they are.

One of the biggest motivating factors in a boy's life who would go on to achieve greatness is a role model. Someone they wish to aspire to.

Everybody should think they are perfect within reason.I understand wanting to get bigger, stronger And tougher as that’s all being part of a man but you shouldn’t want to be another man just a better version of yourself.

Everybody wants to be as good as you can be.

Which can mean, stronger, faster, more athletic, prettier etc

Some dudes go the extremes and use surgery (which rarely improves), but most train something to become better than they originally were.

I never started training in the gym for looks, i was training Martial Arts at the time and wanted to be able to lift/toss heavier and punch stronger (i was young)

I wanted to become stronger and complement the MA-training.

After a while training in the gym, it changed. I was training in the gym more , and less training Martial Arts until a period where i only trained in the gym and no more MA.

I appreciated the strength-changes, but now i also noticed some body changes / aesthetic changes (i saw how my arms got bigger, chest got bigger etc) and was bitten by the iron-bug and enjoyed it more than punching, kicking etc

It ruined my Martial Arts-aspirations for sure but i gained something else.

But did you want to be someone else or just a better version of yourself?

Haha no, i wanted to be the best i could be, a lil stronger, a lil faster.

(so i could roll around more swiftly in Henda's hairy)

But i can understand young people who want to be someone else
(if they've had a bad upbringing, are bullied, weak, not popular etc)

My guess is that many more men in the 80’s wanted to be Mike Tyson (before the arrest) than Don Johnson.

Having been there in the 80’s, way more men would’ve chosen Johnson.  His looks, clothes, Ferrari, plus he would have been a way bigger pussy slayer than Tyson.  No woman would have turned down Johnson.  Tyson came off as an too crude, and he had that annoying feminine voice.

Nothing Cooler than Buster Keaton, Finn Wolfhard or Jaden Smith in the 80s!

In the 70s George Peppard as Banacek was pretty damned cool - he had a car phone and he didn't need a sidekick.

I'm sure you learned all the martial arts worth learning.  After learning the basics guys are mostly just spinning their wheels.

Speak for yourself, my friend. I was in my twenties during the 1980s and never did I consider Don Johnson as my ideal. I would have much preferred Tom Selleck, Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Harrison Ford... I never aspired for that yuppy look and act.

There's a common belief that once you reach Purple Belt level in BJJ, then you're training to beat other BJJ guys.
